However, when he did, he was very condescending and wouldn't let me speak much. Even went as far as to pick apart the message I left. I work in the service department at a dealership, and have worked with many small repair shops. Perhaps he just comes off strongly, but females know a lot too. He didn't seem too concerned with appreciating our best outlook, but more with proving he's "entitled". He told us he didn't wanna do it because then he'd have to stand by his repair. Well any good mechanic would stand by their work if they're capable. All that showed us was he's not looking for repeat business or considerate of anything but what we might pay him. He was also concerned with the crankshaft being worn out, however there's a kit for that to assist in the prevention of an additional repair. Somebody else will be getting our business who doesn't pretend to be knowledgable and have been more than upfront and willing about the repair.

Our 22-year-old daughter was traveling solo through New England when she found herself stranded on a remote back road in the Vermont forest. She had stopped to go hiking when a sudden downpour sent her running back to her vehicle, only to discover that it wouldn't start. She called us in a panic. We're all the way in Wisconsin, and trying to figure out what was wrong with her vehicle over the phone was difficult, to say the least! I called Willie's Village Auto and explained the situation to the receptionist, who immediately put Willie on the phone. Willie personally called our daughter, assessed the situation, and ultimately DROVE OUT TO HER LOCATION to help her. It turned out to be a dead battery, thank goodness! He got her vehicle started and had her follow him back to his shop, where he installed a new battery and ran a diagnostic test to make sure there weren't any other problems. But here's what truly sets this business apart: Willie even found an Airbnb and made a reservation for our daughter, just in case her vehicle needed additional repairs and she couldn't continue her trip. Thankfully, everything checked out, and she was able to get back on the road. He also made sure she arrived safely at her destination. WHO DOES THAT?! The answer is someone who genuinely cares about people, not just fixing cars. The charge was incredibly reasonable considering the time, effort, and personal attention he gave her. We live hundreds of miles away, and knowing that someone took such good care of our daughter when she was alone, frightened, and far from home means more to us than words can express.
