I highly recommend Kevin's Computer Service. They are very professional, knowledgeable, quick, and offer pretty fair rates for their services. The replaced my Mac Mini hard drive, what is not an easy fix due to the overall integration inside the new apple products, and it has been working wonderfully since then. They also fixed one of my gaming laptops and it is still running like a champ! They even follow up with customers to ensure all is working fine! read more

I had an emergency when my external hard drive got wet a couple weeks ago. All my computer files, as well as all my photos since 2005, were on this hard drive and I was in a panic! I looked up computer services online and found Kevin's Computer Service, which was about 15 minutes away. I called them and they said bring it on down, we're open for another hour. I had bought a replacement external drive earlier that day so rushed down there (the Dana Point location). By about 3:00 the next day, they gave me a call and said they were able to retrieve all my data! What a relief!! I can't thank the people working here enough! I would recommend this company! read more

THANK YOU, Greg and Christian! I brought in my water damaged laptop *in a panic* and they calmed me down and told me what they'd try to do for data recovery. Within 2 hours and right before closing they contacted me with good news--they had found my data and could back it up onto a new external hard drive ($100) or I could bring in something of my own. I brought in my new laptop when they opened in the morning and after another 2 hours everything had been migrated from the old (I thought lost) laptop to the new one. Total charge $150 and they only charge you if they can recover your data. Friendly, no judgment, calming, quick. CALL THEM! read more

All of a sudden was having mega problems with my iphone so ran to Kevins in Dana Point for help. Had used them before and they were great. Alex greeted me, took my iphone into his magic hands, did a couple of things and within seconds said "It's fixed", I couldn't believe he solved my problem so quickly and restored not only my iphone, but my heart rate back to normal. I really love Kevin's! Anytime I have used their service,I have been so pleased with their professionalism, responsiveness, and ability to communicate well with one who is somewhat techno-challenged;) They have done repairs for me beautifully, and just this week I needed help formatting a new external backup drive. I had Googled how-to videos, did my best to follow the video's recommended procedure, and ended up more confused than when I started! But in just about a 15 minute consultation, all was solved and I now know exactly how to use the external drive...along with a few other little nifty tips! I was only charged $25, and it saved me so much time and completely dissipated my frustration with trying to do it on my own. Thx Kevin's!! read more

Kevin was great. On time and fixed the problem within 15 minutes. Very professional and friendly, would use them again. read more

They did a great job and made my family all so happy. We had an external drive that we transferred all our Xbox 360 games on to and all of a sudden it stopped working. We were all so sad and thought that we had lost everything forever. I found Kevins Computer on Yelp and they said they recover data or we don't pay so I gave it a try since I had nothing to lose. I didn't think it was possible, but they did it!! Recovered it all and transferred it back on my Xbox drive. Now we have all our progress back and couldn't be happier! Now I just need to back it up so this does not happen again. I would highly recommend them!! Thank you again so much!! read more

John, in the Dana Point store, was to be able to fix my badly screwed up iMac as quickly and perfectly as I could have possibly hoped for! I had a failed hard drive and other issues that I know were tough to fix because I had just worked with 3 senior techs at Apple for more than 6 hours in total, but to no avail. John fixed it al: hardware, software, malware, viruses, etc. Hooray! Finally, in addition to his tech skills John has great communication skills, including patience, empathy, and even compassion; I felt like I was talking with a psychotherapist! Thanks to Kevin's Computers for making John available! read more

First impressions are everything. Two hours late, so I canceled. It's insulting when a business thinks their time is more important than yours. I was assured when I made my appointment this would NOT happen. If it happened once it could happen again. read more

Horrible, absolutely do not go here. I brought in my laptop yesterday because the WiFi was not working. I paid them the fifty dollars for the diagnostics. They called and said nothing was wrong.so I picked it up today. While I was still there I turned it on and no WiFi. The guy that worked on it said of course there is but he couldn't find it. The fix was for me to spend forty dollars on an external antenna that I could have bought yesterday and saved the fifty dollars. They could care less and even told me it was my fault. I'm not even sure if what I bought was new. I spent several hundred dollars at Kevin's a year ago having this laptop updated with a solid state drive. I thought they would treat me right but was I wrong. The guy kept talking about how it wasn't his fault and so on. I asked him to stop talking several times so I could just pay and leave but he wouldn't. One of the most horrible service experiences I have endured. Kevin, I've owned a business. I know how credit cards work and if you really wanted to refund me you would have done it but, you didn't. No one needs to provide permission to get their money back. read more

Kevin's came out and corrected a few issues and also helped with remote access online. I was pleased with the service.

My hard drive died, so I took my computer to the Dana Point store. I was told they would replace the hard drive and transfer the data to the new drive for $150.00. (I supplied the new hard drive.) So I approved the repairs. Later when I called, I was told that it would be an additional $150 to reinstall Windows. Now the total cost doubled to $300 plus what I had already paid for buying the hard drive. If they had told me that it would be $300 in the first place, I would not have spent that much to repair my $400 Dell computer. But now I was stuck having already approved of the hard drive replacement. Although it seemed like a bait and switch, I went ahead and paid the additional $150. When I brought the computer home, almost everything I had on the computer was gone. It was a clean slate. Maybe they knew that would happen, but they never told me. It was basically useless. But it gets worse. I have written three novels. The manuscripts were on my Word Program. I was told they were all saved and were on the new hard drive, but that is not true. They are gone. It's been a total loss for me, $300 down the toilet. read more

I had absolutely the best possible experience here! My laptop screen's pixels were dying, and my screen was slowly going black. Apple quoted me $900, Best Buy quoted me $400 plus a 4 week turn around time. Neither of these were an option for me as a college student paying her own bills. My last hope was a local shop, and I came across Kevins!! I called, they told me to come in to better evaluate my laptop. When they finished the evaluation they gave me a quote for the price and when the part (new laptop screen) would arrive. When the screen finally arrived (right as quoted I would add) I had a time crunch and they were SO FLEXIBLE with me. They hurriedly fixed my laptop and I was able to pick it up at the exact time I needed it. I highly recommend Kevins to anybody looking for quality service, quality repair, and quality people to interact with. I will definitely be taking all future electronic issues to Kevins!! read more
