She advised me of their dental plan which is definitely worth signing up for because it saves their patients money and is a rare, excellent benefit this office offers. I do not have enough kind words for Julie, who was my dental hygienist. She put my nerves at ease, answered every question I had, and most importantly was gentle and thorough. Dr. Foxson is an expert and I was thrilled he had knowledge of my Sjogren's Syndrome. I arrived at 4:30, filled out a quick form and was taken back into an exam room. The staff member who took me back was lovely, and got myself and my mother water. I was then told that Dr Zurek had to do a "quick exam" on another patient. Dr Zurek didn't get to me until 5:10pm; he left me sitting for 25 minutes. When he came into the room, he was bombastic and spoke loudly about how he had been having a busy day. I was there to talk about dentures/dental implants. He started by asking me why my teeth were so bad; when I told him that there were issues in both my mother and father's sides of the family with teeth, my explanation wasn't good enough. He began the discussion of my options by asking if the reason my teeth were bad was because I was "lazy or had bad dental hygiene", saying he needed to know in order to best assess what type of dental prosthetic would work for me. During the discussion, I broke into tears at least three times. I really felt that I was being talked down to and judged. Dr Zurek spent a great deal of time touting his expertise and abilities. He suggested a solution that would cost $65,000, although I had mentioned that cost was a concern. I felt zero compassion from him. At one point, I was crying with my head down in the exam chair while he talked with my mother about my options, and I just couldn't take any more of it. When he finally asked me what I thought, I told him that I thought that I needed to leave, took off my dental "bib", got up and grabbed my purse; I walked right out. As I was leaving, he called after me that it was "very important that I be involved in the discussion", but I refused and left the office, going outside and sitting on the practices stairs until my mother followed a few minutes later and we both left. I feel traumatized by this experience, and cannot believe I was spoken to like a naughty child. I am 49 years old and do not need that from someone I am going to for help, with the intention of paying him a large amount of money for his services. I wish there was a rating of "0 stars" because my experience with the doctor was TERRIBLE.

Dr. Susan Mazzei is the kindest, most compassionate health care professional I have ever met/been treated by. She cares so much about her patients - beyond anything you could possibly hope for in a dentist! She's incredibly knowledgeable and skilled of course, but it's the way she truly cares and goes the extra mile for her patients that makes her so great. For example, I had a "Marilyn Bridge" that another Dr. put in as a temporary fix and was always breaking off, leaving me with an embarrassingly ugly missing front tooth until the dentist could see me. When I started seeing Dr. Mazzei, she gave me her personal cell phone number in case I ever had an "emergency" - well I was home for holiday break from college and the tooth broke off on Saturday night when I was set to fly back to school in rural Pennsylvania on Monday! I called Dr. Mazzei to get her advice and she insisted on coming in ON A SUNDAY just to fix my tooth!!!! Seriously, what dentist or doctor do you know who would do something so kind and generous?!? Also, before we got married, my husband and I had our smiles transformed quickly and painlessly by Dr. Mazzei! First, my husband had lived with a big gap in his front teeth his whole life, which he HATED and made him self-conscious. His previous dentists had all said he would need a full set of braces and/or caps/veneers to fix - both options were too expensive/painful/annoying, so he just lived with the gap. I suggest he visit Dr Mazzei before we got married and she found a perfectly creative and inexpensive solution - that day she put one bracket set on the BACK of his teeth (so no ugly braces) and a set of rubber bands and in only a couple of days his teeth were perfect, just in time for our big day! I think it only cost under $100 (compare that to about $4k for braces he really didn't need!) I was born missing one front adult tooth and the other a peglateral, but you wouldn't know it to look at me, thanks to Dr. Mazzei! For my crazy teeth, Dr. Mazzei and her excellent surgeon colleague did an absolutely fantastic job replacing my bridge with a permanent, sturdy dental implant, so I could smile with confidence on my big day! Prior to this, all the dentists I visited said that I couldn't get an implant or that if I did, I would have to have an implant with no fake tooth attached for at least six months! Well Dr Mazzei found a way and the procedure was even about a third of the price of the other dentists I had gotten consultations from! 9 years later and the implant is still perfect and my husband's gap is still closed! Dr. Mazzei's new colleague, Dr. Esposito is also amazing! My 3 year old son, who is very sensitive, had a wonderful first cleaning with her! Office staff are top notch! Great scheduling and billing help. They always work with us to get appointments all at the same time etc. and no long wait times. Over 10 years of consistently perfect, dedicated service, innovative solutions and compassionate care for my entire family. THANK YOU DR MAZZEI!

I have difficulty numbing and they were patient - most dentists do not even believe me and yet I did not have to tell them twice! I have moved quite a bit in my lifetime and have thus had experiences with a plethora of dental practices. Comfort Care makes me hesitant to move anywhere again as I finally found a dentist I love!!
