The new proprietors are former nail technicians from another very popular salon in town. I had liked their work at the former salon and decided to follow them to the "new" shop. The shop is bright and clean and the service is friendly. I usually have a dip-powder manicure. This salon has a larger selection of dip-powder colors than some salons offer. (I've been to some salons that don't even offer it at all.) The price range is comparable to other salons in this area: $23 or $25 or a basic pedicure $30 for the dip mani. I do recommend Euphoria Nails.

I was visiting over…read moreChristmas and just didn't have time to get my nails done before the holidays as I was flying in from Boston. I called my sister, asked her if she could get us an appointment with Christina here for a Shellac manicure. Shellac is a polish that doesn't damage your natural nail (no filing the tops like gels) and it is UV cured, so it lasts about 10 days to 2 weeks. The Shellac I got here is the best one that I've ever had. She was careful not to get it on my cuticles and did two thin layers of a cheery Christmas-y color. Christina took her time, went over the tip like you're suppose to, and cleaned the top coat twice to get them super shiny. It's been two weeks exactly, and there are two small chips on my pointer fingers, but they are minimal and speak more to my use of my nails to pry stuff open rather than the polish. My main issue is my nails are growing out, so the polish needs redone. My sister sees Christina regularly, and she either has classy looking nails or some fun treatment or glitter for whatever season it is. I wish that I lived closer as this was the best Shellac I've ever had, as well as the least expensive at $20! Next time I'm in Iowa, I'll be stopping back by!

The manicure was sloppy -- polish on my skin, uneven and messy cuticles, thick and lumpy application, and nails filed into inconsistent shapes. For the price, I expected professional work, but this looked rushed and careless. When I went back to ask for a refund or a free manicure with another technician next time, they refused unless I sat through removal first, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I explained I had no time. Between the poor quality and the lack of accountability, I cannot recommend this salon at all. Overall, it was an extremely frustrating situation and I won't be back.
