She asked about my facial treatments I was using at home to be sure I wouldn't get a reaction. I often feel like eyebrows can be rushed because it's easy and quick to do, and that wasn't the case with Casey. She measured my brows, took her time, cleaned them before even beginning (which many places don't), and when she was done she looked at them at nearly every angle she could to make sure they were perfect. I have sensitive skin, and my redness was little to none, and I'm not itchy at all. I nearly fell asleep it was so comfortable! I've only gotten Brazilians professionally done at one other place, so the only itty-bitty criticism is that both times have had to shower afterwards to finish removing some pieces of wax that have held on. The other location I've gone to would wipe down the area with an oil to help clean up the area with this, but Piper does not do this. Once entering the spa, it was a bit cluttered, but everyone was extremely nice, professional, and accommodating. Our massages were wonderful, although due to covid, we were in separate rooms and had to wear masks. Neither of which supported our original plans of a relaxing spa date. However, we both enjoyed our massages. The room I was in was beautiful, and the total environment was very relaxing for all the senses. My massage was wonderful, the masseuse was very knowledgeable and respectful. To sum things up, my husband and I loved the people and the service they provided. However, once Eric R. settled in Manhappiness, I needed to find someone local. I happened to sit next to the owner of Gaia Salonspa on a flight, and she convinced me to see Hannah and told me the wax is intended for people with sensitive skin. I have been a regular client of Hannah's for three years for waxing, and tried a facial with her as well. She is very professional, makes me feel comfortable, and has a lot of experience and training. When I found out a few weeks ago that she decided to start her own studio, I was excited for her (and also because it is down the street from my house). Today I visited Hannah for my first appointment at Luminous Esthetic Studio, and it was a great experience. She has a private studio within the Allure Salon, which is quaint and decorated very well. After the appointment, I paid with a chip card reader connected to her phone, and set up future appointments which immediately were texted to me as confirmations.
