This is a review based on their warrant program. I came here to get a diamond band inspected for the diamond replacement warranty. First off: you have to go every three months which is a bit much in my opinion in comparison to their competitors who only require you to go in twice a year. Second: if you don't have that paper with you they can't inspect it. Yes you have to keep that paper basically for the rest of your life if you want that diamond warranty and you have to bring it in with you every time. What a hassle! Makes buying from here such a pain. I definitely won't be back to buy any diamond jewelry from Kevin jewelers just because of how inconvenient their warranty is. I don't even want to know what their process would be like if you actually lost a stone. Definitely don't recommend it. read more

I was switched from the ring i wanted to the one "i wanted." I was given a diffent total at the end so i asked why We were specifically talking about the same ring. We both even pointed at it on the ad. Ms Laura failed to state to me that they didnt have it on hand anymore. That it had to be "ordered" and the ring i was actually getting was the best next thing & bigger. There was no transition from one ring to another up until i noticed the price difference. She did apoligize but the moment someone as a customer has to bring that up to attention or even go through that, it can really feel emberassing. Even throughout my time of the process on trying to apply for credit, Fabiola wasn't the friendliest. They were both not always as polite as they tried to be. I get that they do this everyday, but that shouldn't make the customer feel that, what's not to get? Came back to this store after about 5 yrs. Had a wonderful experience the first time so i decided to come and check out the engagement rings they had. My bf was with me and he wanted me to finally select the ring. Laura Valdivia approached us and asked what the special occasion was. I told her we wanted to look at some engagement rings. She asked us more on what my preferred style was. She helped select the rings she thought I would like. For the most part she had narrowed down the kind of ring I wanted. They were all gorgeous rings, but they didn't fit the look I was looking for. She was very patient and super helpful. I think I took about two hours before finally making a selection, since it came down to two rings.One diamond ring with blue accents and another with a large diamond. Right before I picked the final ring, she came back up to us and showed me one last ring, the perfect ring. It was thin but had a beautiful diamond on it, square shaped and enough sparkle but not too much to grabs unwanted attention. I can definitely say they are very friendly and helpful. But most of all patient. I took forever and they understood how important it was for me to find the prefect ring. Worst experience ever. They keep giving me the run around over a ring I placed and order with. They apparently didn't have the ring I ordered and then when I went to order another one, they told me they didn't have that one either. I wanted to cancel my order and then apparently they had the ring I wanted originally. They have given me an exact delivery date & when I called back they pushed that original date back 2 days. She was very courteous and showed us a few rings. I fell in love with one but sadly I walked out with none. Little did I know, my boyfriend returned, bought the ring I loved and proposed to me on my birthday weekend. I had to go back to Kevin jewelers since my ring was a bit too big. That day, Jessica was the one who helped me find the right size. She was very patient and polite. Jessica promised to have my ring in no later than a week and I actually got a call before that. Had a horrible experience with the montebello location and a ring repair that was not done correctly. When I contacted Lupe the store manager she went out her way to help me and make sure the repair was done correctly. Jesse also spent time looking at my ring to make sure that the jeweler knew what needed to be done. I greatly appreciate both Lupe and Jesse for going out of their way to provide amazing customer service. They should train the employees at the montebello location as they could sure use some training on how to treat a customer. I will only take my ring to this location from now on. The staff was nothing but abysmal to me post purchase. While attempting to sell me on a watch as a gift for my significant other they were very helpful and assured me I could bring the watch back post gifting it to have it sized. With that reassurance and aura of professionalism I purchased it. From then on nothing but nightmarish experiences and being passed around. Ive come in at various employees' direction three separate times to have my watch sized and every time I've been told to come back because the jeweler was too busy for me or didn't know how to use the watch sizing tool! Finally they told me yesterday to come back Thursday or if I wanted it done now to pay to get it done elsewhere. Ridiculous. Go somewhere else. I bought an engagement ring their a year ago, so now I'm back to look at the wedding for myself and my fiance. I understand the sales people are in hurry to sell "BUT" I hate being pressure into something. I did explain to the sales people my situation and the mentality of the sale person was buy buy buy pressure pressure no one cares. Point is, I hate being pressure into buying something without thinking. I would rather come once with my fiancee and letting her choose the ring than to come 2, 3 or 4 times to the store. There were two employees just sitting behind the counter looking bored and were even on their phones looking really unprofessional. I walked in asking if I could be sized because I had no idea what size I was and the lady looked SO annoyed that k would actually interrupt her. She told me they don't size people.... Really? How do you sell rings then? She told me to to find a little kiosk that does it down the way. She didn't know the name just that someone in the mall does that. After leaving another jewelry store and heading to a department store to look for a chain my son mentioned that Kevin Jewelers was on our way. I told him with the experience of the other jewelry store the prices would be well above our means. That being said we decided to take a look at Kevin Jewelers' chains. Not wanting to waste their time or mine I asked them to point out the location of the chains. After insisting that it was not a problem I was escorted to were the chains were located. Letting them know what amount I was willing to pay with no wiggle room they were able to accommodate me with the precise chain we wanted. Although I did not have anything sized or picked up I can say Kevin Jewelers' provided me with professionalism and courtesy even when they new my intentions to purchase a chain might be elsewhere. Worst place ever to buy jewelry from, would give them 0 stars if possible. I went in here to buy a necklace for a friend, it was last minute and I was disparate to finish my shopping. This lead me to buy a way overpriced gold necklace. Here is were the crooks at this place get you, it's with their return policy. They don't do refunds, only exchanges for an item of equal of greater value. My friend didn't like the necklace, so since they don't do refunds, I went to exchange it for another necklace. Now that I'm stuck having to get something from them due to their return policy, suddenly everything in the store cost more. My dad even went by him self and got the estimate on a chain that was equal to what I payed for my original one, but once I came in the store to exchange it for said change, the lady tells us no because the original deal included that we pay cash. I payed cash for the first necklace, so there was no reason for this lady to reject this exchange. They want you to pay even more if you are going to exchange and they know you're forced to due so because you can't get a refund. Avoid this place at all cost, they will scam you. read more
