I was told that I would have to pay for the repair and replacement of the wire which I never authorized in the first service, which I informed her it should have never been replaced because I had only asked for the silver lobster claw addition to my necklace. To make it worse she said that the guy who did it wasn't around and that it might take up to two weeks to get it back! Or maybe I could just go to the Lakewood location... I told her that I had been trying to call the store. I told her I've been calling her location in Downey but the number is disconnected... She tried to give me the 10% coupon and was as pleasant as possible, I didn't get angry nor fight, I simply informed her that it's okay I had already left a negative review about the situation but had hoped for a solution not involving me to further pay for this gentleman's mistake. I didn't leave my necklace nor feel inclined to pay more for terrible Overpriced services. She kindly replied to the review comment that I could go to Michael's and buy the wire myself for next to nothing (which is true and what I did as a solution) compared to what fast fix charges. I paid $10 at Michael's for a 96 strand wire and it took 15 minutes to reassemble the necklace without the tools typically required. I did my best to keep things in a positive light for myself and fast fix but the store has failed to provide good/quality material and service. A short time later I received a call and voicemail from a number I didn't recognize and forgot about it until today when I realized that someone had reached out to discuss this. Read it yourself, as if I'm in trouble and must call this person back. No thanks, I tried in person and was already further let down as a paying customer. I owe fast fix nothing and the service is reflected honestly in my review. It's their reputation and responsibility to make things right. I am sure that I was called in regard to taking my review down, but it shall remain to inform the public because it is too little and too late. Seriously my concerns have been swept under the rug. I feel that I was already taken advantage of by the overpriced service, the lack of communication, the fact that an inferior product has replaced the superior product it came with and that the warranty is laughable. Lastly to be told it's wear and tear on a light weight product is ludicrous. I've had this necklace for years and the original wire never broke or frayed but it's my fault when I barely wear it. It's okay, I already started talking to my lawyer friends about this matter. I would have been better on fast fix to resolve this matter by actually taking care of me as a customer while the review alone is already costing them for unfair dismissal and practice. I had put it on like usual, but the swelling got so bad it was cutting off circulation--and nothing worked (soap, ice, even the floss trick). He told me he's able to remove about 90% of stuck rings but would need to see it in person. I came in, and he had it off in under five minutes. He was incredibly professional, gentle, and there was zero pain. When I asked how much I owed him, he told me he only charges to fix or make things, not to break them. I brought my wedding band in for a repair after one diamond fell out (which I was fortunate enough…read moreto find). I was quoted a little over $200 for the diamond replacement and a very minor resize of ¼ size down. When I went to pick up the ring, I was informed--after the work was already completed--that additional prongs had been replaced on both sides of the ring and that I now owed an extra $240. I was never contacted, informed, or asked for approval before this additional work was done. The explanation given was that some of the prong work was necessary due to resizing. However, after waiting over 40 minutes at pickup because the ring was "in billing," I was then told the resize had actually been forgotten entirely and had to be done on the spot. This made the justification for the unapproved prong work even more concerning. After calling twice and initially being brushed off by sales associates, I finally spoke with the owner, who acknowledged that I had not consented to the extra work and agreed to waive the additional charge. While I appreciate the owner ultimately correcting the billing, the situation itself should never have occurred. Jewelry--especially a wedding band--is deeply personal. Any additional work, design changes, or charges should never be performed without explicit customer approval. Between the unapproved services, forgotten resize, and billing delay, the experience felt disorganized and stressful. I would urge future customers to proceed with caution, insist on written estimates, and require approval before any additional work is done.
