*** BEWARE BATTERY REPLACEMENT *** Called to get a price on battery replacement on two Movado watches. I was told to come in that prices start at $8. I came to the store, person in front of me also needed a battery replacement. His cost $15. When it was my turn, I showed him my watches and I heard $15. He completed both battery replacements in less than 5 minutes. He then proceeds to tell me it's $50. I was in shock. I used to pay $6 to $8 4 years ago. He said it's because it's a Movado watch and they charge up to $60. The place I regularly go to wasn't open yet and I'm going out of town. $25 for a battery replacement is ridiculous. BEWARE! When I left I called Mr. Jewelry in Montebello. Cost for Movado battery replacement is $10.95. I wear an Apple Watch regularly. It's clear I was charged based on the brand of watch and not the service provided.

I went in for a minor fix on a loose piece and it all was done in under 10 minutes. Thank you for your business Garo! :)

They sized my Movado watch in less than 15 minutes! $30.00 but probably because it's a Movado? Good service. My only complaint would be that the men sitting behind the counter we're not wearing masks at all.

Mr. Jorge Montoya is truly an artisan of his watchmaker craft. He is a watchmaker who is highly…read moreskilled, qualified, and passionate about the work that he does. I first contacted Mr. Montoya to inquire about having my 2004 Rolex Submariner 16610LV serviced. I had just purchased it, and it had not been serviced in its 22 years of life. The winding was gritty and rough, the date changed later than expected, and it was running at least 16 seconds fast per day. Mr. Montoya explained in detail what he was going to do, what the service entailed, and that another estimate would be provided if parts needed to be replaced. Mr. Montoya then provided photos and videos of the timepiece during various stages of service, and the issues found with my watch. Mr. Montoya explained everything in detail and provided a fair and reasonable price. He also provided a quick estimate of the turnaround time to get my watch back to me. When I went to pickup my watch, Mr. Montoya explained the repairs and services completed again. In addition, he gave me additional photos and videos taken during the repair and explained what was being shown and done in each one. I highly recommend Mr. Montoya and the MWSC if you want an honest and highly skilled watchmaker that you can trust. He was transparent and thorough through each step of the process, which made me feel comfortable knowing my watch was in good hands. He has tons of experience and is specialized in Rolex timepieces that are 2010 and older. He also has performed a lot of work on other brands such as Patek and Omega. I 100% will be going back to Mr. Montoya when it comes time to service my Submariner and other timepieces.

I live out of state but he agreed to look at it. He then agreed to service and repair the watch for a very reasonable price. After a month I got the watch back. Jorge did an amazing job. Not only does the watch run well, but it looks amazing. I was somewhat hesitant to undertake this via the internet, but I could not be happier with the results. Mr Montoya has all the experience and expertise to undertake what was a difficult job. I would highly recommend him.

I was…read moretold that I had 30 days which is not posted nor was ever told to me prior to establishing/granting the service. I was told that I would have to pay for the repair and replacement of the wire which I never authorized in the first service, which I informed her it should have never been replaced because I had only asked for the silver lobster claw addition to my necklace. To make it worse she said that the guy who did it wasn't around and that it might take up to two weeks to get it back! Or maybe I could just go to the Lakewood location... I told her that I had been trying to call the store. I told her I've been calling her location in Downey but the number is disconnected... She tried to give me the 10% coupon and was as pleasant as possible, I didn't get angry nor fight, I simply informed her that it's okay I had already left a negative review about the situation but had hoped for a solution not involving me to further pay for this gentleman's mistake. I didn't leave my necklace nor feel inclined to pay more for terrible Overpriced services. She kindly replied to the review comment that I could go to Michael's and buy the wire myself for next to nothing (which is true and what I did as a solution) compared to what fast fix charges. I paid $10 at Michael's for a 96 strand wire and it took 15 minutes to reassemble the necklace without the tools typically required. I did my best to keep things in a positive light for myself and fast fix but the store has failed to provide good/quality material and service. A short time later I received a call and voicemail from a number I didn't recognize and forgot about it until today when I realized that someone had reached out to discuss this. Read it yourself, as if I'm in trouble and must call this person back. No thanks, I tried in person and was already further let down as a paying customer. I owe fast fix nothing and the service is reflected honestly in my review. It's their reputation and responsibility to make things right. I am sure that I was called in regard to taking my review down, but it shall remain to inform the public because it is too little and too late. Seriously my concerns have been swept under the rug. I feel that I was already taken advantage of by the overpriced service, the lack of communication, the fact that an inferior product has replaced the superior product it came with and that the warranty is laughable. Lastly to be told it's wear and tear on a light weight product is ludicrous. I've had this necklace for years and the original wire never broke or frayed but it's my fault when I barely wear it. It's okay, I already started talking to my lawyer friends about this matter. I would have been better on fast fix to resolve this matter by actually taking care of me as a customer while the review alone is already costing them for unfair dismissal and practice. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE.

The first red flag was that the woman working there, a light skinned heavy-accented Filipino, rushed out from her table in the center counter as if Frankenstein or Dracula had walked in. So right away I knew prejudice would be a factor. As I explained what I needed, she listened, but in the process she was looking at me out of the corner of her eye with her head tilted far away from me as though I utterly repulsed her, (or, she feared my dark skin would get on her?) an inappropriate and weird look of bewilderment and patronization. She didn't even know I could see her utter disdain for me based solely on my physical appearance. The arrogance of this person whose English language literacy is extremely poor, to practice appearance based discrimination and inhospitality to anyone else, especially to me a US born veteran. She said, "You hahhves to calm bahhk. The jeweler eesint here ride now." I said, "Haha, the old you have to see it. No, I brought it today. I don't have time for your nonsense. I'll just take it to Tiffany, I should've known better than to come into a place like this."
