No stars!!!! Below is what happened to my granddaughter.
Yesterday my friend and I with her 3 kids rented 3 kayaks from these unprofessional people. My friend was on one, two kids were in one, and myself and another child were in another one. We went out on the hour, and the lady specifically said "We arent sticklers on time, don't worry if you're back a few minutes late we won't charge you, just paddle out for 30 minutes and start heading back at the half hour". My friend also asked the lady if she should be okay to take her keys and phone on the kayak, because she has nowhere else to put them. The lady laughed and said the kayaks are impossible to flip unless you're being stupid, and that most people take them on as "a motive to stay dry". So we paddle out for 30 minutes like she says, and 25 mins in we get an early start back to shore. While we still have 20 mins left we see a jet ski flying at us almost hitting us, and she stops us and says she needs to take us back by roping us to her jet ski because she "FORGOT they close soon and everyone's leaving". (Mind you this is the OWNER). So she tells us to all hold onto each other's paddles and as she's getting us all soaking wet while she's hauling ass on this jet ski, my friends single kayak flipped and there goes her phone and keys 50 feet down into the lake. All the lady said was "well you better go get the kayak before it floats away and I suggest you swim for your keys and phone because I don't know how you're getting home then". So my friend asked me to jump out and help her, but the lady told me no because we have to go back cuz they close at 6, so she just starts pulling us away on her jet ski leaving my friend in the water without help, while her two kids are on another kayak in the middle of the lake watching their mom try and flip the kayak back over to stay safe. In the end the lady sent her kids out there to pull my friend and her kids back in without offering any help whatsoever to my friend. When we got back, we got a copy of the form we signed and the lady told us we will have to WALK TO HER OFFICE to get a copy of it while she drives there. We ended up taking a picture of it, they refused to give us the name of their insurance or any bit of a refund. If they were so worried about being out on the hour, they shouldn't have let us rent the kayaks in the first place, because we didn't even get our full hour by time she came and pulled us back in. I 0/10 recommended these people to any family or anyone. They knew we were over an hour away from home with one phone in the middle of nowhere, with 3 kids and they got their kayaks back to shore and drove off. read more
