This review focuses more on the campgrounds. There are tons of campgrounds in the area, but this is a great option! The sites are large and spread apart. There are no tent pads but there is plenty of room to set up all your stuff. Each site includes a picnic table and campfire ring. There are no bear concerns so you don't have to take as many precautions. You can also head straight into the gorge from some of the campsites. The bathrooms have lights, water, flush toilets, and showers. They were very clean while we were there and spacious. There's also plenty of dumpsters for trash. You can purchase firewood at the registration office, where they also have maps, guides, and useful info. It's a great local camping option.

Big ol' Greg immediately busted out the hard stuff, and right when I was wanting some ice cream they made it right in front of me! I could go on for a long time, but I'll just list the Pros and the (very few!) cons below. Pros: Best All-Inclusive dining I've had. The ice cream and liquor never stopped! They make other foods too, and if they can't make it they'll go get it. Lots of blankies. You'll never get cold. If you do get cold, don't call you friend Matt and ask for the concierge while he's sleeping. He'll hang up! Very welcoming. Many people aren't used to very lifelike stuffed doggies and contact an insane asylum. Not here though! Beautiful scenery. After a great day of going to see the city of Corning or the lake near Watkins Glen (both are close! You just have to steal a car or truck. My credit score isn't very good. Oh no) there's nothing better than sitting down on the porch or comfy sectional sofa in the great lodge room to watch the sun set. Cons: Hard to find. Like very hard to find. If Matt wasn't a totally righteous frontiersman with a tomahawk we would have gotten lost and starved (ok Matt isn't that cool. I'm just hoping he'll read this and buy me ice cream) Dangerous Wildlife. The deers kept staring at me through the window. I bet they're in cahoots with the angry woolly mammoth that's been after me. The biggest downside of this place though is that there must be a lot of irresponsible dog owners come and visit with their Fidos. My boys walked for the longest time and even when they started to swim, they could still stand if they wanted. Warm, too. Not the softest sand, but the way out into the lake isn't too bad. The way back, it feels a little more prickly. Guess the rocks face away from the beach. Plenty of parking, seating and shade.

I simply could not believe the amount of initials that I had to put on papers before I took the boat out.

We enjoyed the day on the bay! The owner is very personable & friendly making strides to make any occasion a special occasion. I loved my site with trees secluding me from my adjacent neighbors. I biked all around the site and lake. The lake looked awesome for swimming, fishing and boating access. I saw several playgrounds for young kids. Each of three campgrounds had their own wash house. The one, near my campsite, was really nice! The campground was well maintained and clean. They allow pets but please note most sites don't have RV hookups. Price after fees was $36.25/night.
