This isn't a large park, and it's a bit tucked away and mostly frequented by Lansing residents…read more There are times when it can feel VERY crowded given the size. Everything in the park is mainly around a little driving loop. Myers Park includes 19 available camping sites with each having electric and water hookups. For camping, the nightly fee is $36 for Lansing Residents and $40 a night for Non-Residents. For just generally visiting the park, admission to the park is free for Town of Lansing residents (with ID). Nonresidents are charged $6 per car. Since it's a Lansing park, and not a NYS park, NYS Empire Passes aren't able to get you access. Myers Park does take credit cards as a form of payment though (along with cash, obviously). There is a decently sized playground for kids (which you can see on the Facebook, here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Sports---Recreation-Venue/Myers-Park-Playground-Project-MP3-433430860214/), boat launch, various picnic tables, and beach-y type areas to go into the water (it's not especially sandy... small rocks/gravel-type, mainly). Paddle-N-More is also located within the park if you want to rent canoes or kayaks (though not sure if they're currently renting anything out because of COVID - so check before you go if that's something you're looking for!). TL;DR I've been pleeenty of times over the years because I had family that lived in Lansing. Would I regularly pay the $6 per car now to get into this park? No. (I already have an Empire Pass and prefer to ensure I get my money's worth out of it.) But if it's a nice day, you want to rent a kayak or something, and it's not too crowded? Myers Park is a nice enough spot.

My wife and I went out for a recent afternoon with Jeremy and found this a top-notch experience…read morefrom start to finish and a great way to spend a day in the Finger Lakes. While I grew up fishing for bass, I'm still relatively new to fly fishing and my wife is pretty new to the sport. I've gone out with guides in Washington and North Carolina but would rank this as the best experience of the bunch. When I reached out to book, he called me back within minutes to discuss preferred techniques, locations and types of fish to target, and it was clear he truly listened to what I was hoping to accomplish with the trip and tailored a list of different sites in the Finger Lakes to meet these goals. As our scheduled date approached, the weather forecast looked grim, so he reached out and we arranged an alternative day to go out at the last minute. We very much appreciated his flexibility. On the water, he was extremely patient with instruction and advice and has natural, positive teaching style and never seemed frustrated when there were tangles, snags or errant casts. I was able to refine techniques and presentations I have used before as well as learn a couple of new approaches, and my wife greatly improved her casting skills and understanding of how to read a trout stream. I've been out with guides who set you up with one technique and run this over and over all day long regardless of whether or not it's successful, but Jeremy was constantly reevaluating what was working and what wasn't, and making thoughtful adjustments as we moved from site to site. He went above and beyond to make sure we both caught fish and had a great time doing it. Afterwards, he followed up with pictures of the day as well as some much appreciated local recommendations for places to hike and eat/drink during the rest of our trip. If we are ever in this area again I'd definitely book another trip through this service.

And as I ascended, the views just kept getting better and better. There are a lot of stone steps, and these are likely to be wet most of the time, so some caution and consideration of fitness and mobility issues is wise. Unlike the larger Ithaca Falls, I don't think it presents a big drowning hazard. The site offers numerous terraced waterfalls and splendid foliage and rock formations throughout. It is free to enter and adjoins the university but is open to the public. It is an impressive example of urban development done right.
