The Peg House has a cute gift shop, general store with booze and basics (famous brownies and ginormous cookies!) and next door is the outdoor restaurant. It has a great vibe, owner took out orders and you KNOW by the taste and food service how much love and thought goes into this place! We had: Grilled Chicken w/brie Bigfoot Burger Classic Cheeseburger All came with coleslaw and that was great too! We plan on making this a pitstop from now on. I ordered the lost coast burger and with tax it was $20. It came with a small portion of broccoli coleslaw that I really liked- and thankfully my two companions did not so I got a triple portion. The burger was fine. Not the greasy smash burger experience I was craving, but it tasted fresh. Served on a ciabatta roll... from Costco? Unconfirmed, but that's what it tasted like. I would have preferred brioche or something more fluffy. I ate every crumb because post hike hunger. I wouldn't come again though. The service was good and everyone was nice- just overpriced for the product, IMO. The outdoor seating was nice and it looks like sometimes there is live music. The bathrooms were gross. Smelled horrible and dirty. There is a campground or some sort of rv park right behind that may also be sharing the restrooms.

They have all flavors of gas including diesel. Since we stopped I might as well fill up this gas hog Suburban SUV. All the gas prices locally off this exit are the same, so no bargains. Maverick is just across the way with the same prices. Restrooms are super clean (at least the girl's side), and you can get any kinda road food you might imagine inside. We stopped for lunch at the Wendy's, mostly just cause I had a 2 for 1 coupon on some burgers. Lots of commercial truck traffic here so watch out where you're going.

She mentioned they are pretty speedy with arriving. It's happened there a few times. Called them and they told me $75 service charge and they'd be there in 15 minutes. They arrived in about 10 minutes, fairly quick. And I totally expected to wait an hour. I was so thankful for the woman who recognized we were in a rut and provided a source that could help us. Thank you to the kind and wonderful friendly staff that worked the evening of Sunday February 16th 2020!

The floors needed a little attention, but overall the place was clean and if I'd actually been hungry I would have bought something. As it was I was just bored on such a long drive and wanted something to much. Nothing leapt out at me and I was on my way again. The gas prices are very reasonable here. They seem like some of the cheapest in town so when I drive this way I like to stop here to fill up.

Eat and get gas…read more Actually, this is the ONLY gas station in town. Some of pumps take credit/debit cards, so you can get gas in the middle of the night even if the store is closed. It costs an extra 10 cents per gallon with a card.... The little convenience store has the usual stuff, and a grill in the back if you're up to a burger or a deli sandwich. The store opens fairly early on workdays (6 AM, I think?), and it's a hot spot for stand-up coffee drinkers.....
