I am an avid power lifter and gym goer, but dealt with some life mishaps that derailed my physical health. Stress also ran my body down. I've been going to this facility the last 7 years, on and off, intermittently as needed. In the past, I was able to bounce back from some auto accident injuries and get back into the groove of heavy lifting. I'm optimistic about my road to recover this time around as well. I recently confessed to Dr. Rivera that I cheated on the clinic (it was actually twice) because I was trying to prioritize convenience. However, I came crawling back each time and will be faithful moving forward, even if it's out of the way for me. The attentive care and knowledgeable providers here makes the drive worthwhile. I've been experiencing neuropathic issues and flare ups recently in my arms and Dr. Rivera was on point with his assessments. I wasn't able to get such assessment at the other locations I've been at recently...I appreciate that I was given the opportunity to try out the Texcar and Spinal Decompression machine to make an informed decision for myself. The care I've been receiving from Dr. Rivera makes me optimistic about my journey with health. I appreciate that I can bring concerns and actually get a solution or answers, despite how complex the matter seems to be. I'm also grateful for the masseuses as well - Josh and Jonathan have been incredibly effective with noting my trigger points and muscle spasms. In the past, I worked with Dr Faith. She was also incredible with her bedside manner. Heard she moved on with her own clinic though. She was always good natured and kind as well. As long as I'm within a one hour radius each way, I will make an effort to prioritize my visits here since it's worth the trek. l came to Kessler Wellness Center for physical therapy to treat my plantar fasciitis, which I've been dealing with for the last two months. My pain has gotten as high as an 8 out of 10 during this time. I underwent their ARP Wave therapy, and when I first came in, my pain level was a constant 6. After completing the therapy, my pain dropped to a 0, which was amazing. Even two days after the session, my pain level is still at zero. It's crazy but I've been coming to Kessler Family Wellness for more than a decade. So this 5-star yelp review is long overdue! What can I say Kessler Family Wellness? You will be treated like family here. The vibe is so friendly, caring and kind. Everyone from the front desk, Lark, to all the doctors like Dr. Kessler & Dr. Andy and the massage therapists like Chris are great at what they do. Their goal is to ensure that you leave feeling way better than when you first walk in. And to this day, Kessler Family Wellness has never failed me! I found this gem when I started fighting Muay Thai over a decade ago. Because I was training two, three times a day, recovery was a critical part of the program. I also got injured from a few fights. Most notably, I broke my foot during training and sustained a lisfranc injury (midfoot). Dr. Kessler referred me to Dr. Mora, a well known orthopedic surgeon in the area, who fixed me up. I'll admit I should have rehabbed my foot more at Dr. Kessler's but I was way too anxious to get back to training and fighting. I was back in the ring 6 months later. They really do treat you like family here. When my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, Kessler's provided her with therapy due to pain caused by radiation. She would always comment on how the staff here was so positive and genuinely cared. Although I am retired from fighting, I recently started coming back more frequently for treatment due to back + neck pain from WFH during this COVID pandemic (WFH = working from home)... or maybe because I'm getting old. Haha. In any case, if you have neck + shoulder tightness (mine is from stress) and if you can handle deep tissue massages, I highly recommend Chris! It hurts so good, but I promise you'll feel much better! Masks are required at all times during this COVID-era. They have sani-gel at the front desk. The facility is clean, well lit and very professional. And if you're a fight fan, you'll appreciate the memorabilia and signed photos from some recognizable and famous fighters. I visited Dr. Kessler's office to be treated for injuries to both of my rotator cuffs and knee. I have been to a lot of doctor and physical therapy treatment centers; and I must say that Dr Kessler's treatment modalities are innovative and highly effective. Both my shoulders regained their range of motion after my first treatment. His massage therapists know exactly how to manipulate injuries and relieve tension. Details: I was recommended Kessler Family Wellness and REALLY regret not coming sooner. Alex first came to check me in and was really personable and easy to speak with. I let him know what was going on and he took note. The doctor that came to see me was Dr. Chamith Ameresekere, DC (Doctor of Chiropractic). He ran a whole bunch of tests on me and was able to almost easily determine--like magic-- what was going on. There was a good explanation--and further explanation of what was going on with my muscle/ tendon. Afterwards, I was hooked up to an electric massage machine with these little pads and a warm compress that helped me out with my injury. Following this, Alex took me into a room--and made sure to let me know what was going to go on due to touching and stretching and made sure to have my consent. Later, Dr. Chamith Ameresekere, DC (Doctor of Chiropractic) came back, and again I was told touching and stretching would occur--so again my consent was requested--and I can tell you now from first hand experience that Chiropractor's really have an art. I had my back adjusted on both sides and my neck---and I surely did not know I needed that--until after my adjustment. Lastly, Alex taught me some stretches I could use so I wouldn't further injure myself and I kid you not, I nearly drove home as a brand new woman. I would have done a backflip but I am not quite there yet. Do you ever wake up in the morning and think you need your hair or nails done? How about PHYSICALLY feeling better? Love these guys! I see Dr. Andy and usually try to book Jeff for a 30 minute massage. Found these guys through my insurance and my insurance actually covers a 30 minute massage with a chiropractic adjustment so you can kill two birds with one stone here. I first came to see them due to being 8 months pregnant with sciatic pain that just wouldn't quit. The treatment usually starts with some heat packs and electric stimulation which is a nice way to get the muscles relaxed. This is followed by a 30 minute massage therapy session with Jeff, who is AMAZING, although I have had other massage therapists and they are all pretty good. I like stronger pressure on specific pain points so keep that in mind for those that like a gentle relaxing type of massage. This is not for the faint of heart, it's a place where boxing champs come to get healed so it's not for sissies that like Swedish massage lol. Dr. Andy does modified adjustments for pregnancy with a special pillow so I can still lie face down and get my upper back adjusted. He'll typically also do a neck and lower back adjustment as well. I always leave feeling great and they have a cool sporty vibe with very diverse clients that you mingle with in what I like to call "the pit". :) read more

Wellness is often neglected because life happens. I managed to find my way into Kessler family wellness during COVID because I had an injury that I neglected for many years, and I've got nowhere to be. That's when I met Dr. Faith and the rest of the team. As someone who practices jiu jitsu and rows, injuries are bound to happen. I've had various treatments ranging from cupping, electric stim, massages and tecar, to mobility and strength exercises, or as Dr Faith likes to call it, "homework", and I've left each session feeling better than the last. You don't have to be an MMA fighter to get treated - each member of the team is knowledgeable, patient and care to see you improve your overall well-being in as little time as possible. There's plenty of parking and the facility is nice and clean. Special shout-out to May, Kristen and Sam, for making sure I'm taken care of and kicking my butt. I'm long overdue for another visit. This place is absolutely amazing, they help be with little injuries all the time, and even a couple of big ones. I wouldn't be able to train as much and compete if it wasn't for them. The more often I come here, the better I feel. When you go in, the front desk staff is super friendly. They are almost always pretty busy here, so try to make an appointment. When you walk in, there is an open room with chairs set up for icing and stim treatment. They have separate little rooms for massage, adjustments, and ultra sound. The room is super awesome and set up with all sorts of MMA memorabilia, many mma, Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai practitioners come in here, but don't worry, people of all ages come here. They work with everyone. They offer so many different types of services from adjustments by the chiropractors, icing and stim on injuries, amazing massages, physical therapy, ultra sound, teker, and more! They also have other doctors coming in on certain days for different things such as an orthopedic surgeon. The massages are amazing, and they have a few different massage therapists on staff. Big Mike had the strongest hands I have ever felt, I love going with Chris, Joe, and Aveeshai, I go with them the most, but everyone is good. The adjustments are good, I usually get Dr Kessler or Dr Andy to adjust me, and they always do a good job! They have a cool adjustment table that moves up and down. They have ultra sound which is good if you have injuries. The Teker machine is so amazing though, and in my opinion, the best thing you can do for an injury (and I've tried it all). This machine is from France, and there are only a couple in the United States, and Kindi, one of the doctors here went to France to take a course on using it, and it's pretty legit. Guaranteed it will help you feel so much better! Overall this place is awesome, and is the place to be if you have injuries or if you want to avoid injuries with preventative maintenance. read more
