I contacted Kerry to schedule a time for a quote, and we agreed on a window between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 1:58 PM I received a text message saying he was on his way. There had been no prior communication that he would be arriving early. I was still at work at the time and did not see the message. At 2:34 PM I called back once I noticed the text to let him know I was not home yet. During that call, he informed me that he had entered through two of my gates to let himself in the backyard to inspect the area. I had not given permission for him to access the property and he did not ask beforehand. Entering private property without permission without confirming access, is extremely unprofessional and raises serious concerns. I would expect any contractor to confirm access and wait for the scheduled appointment time before entering a gated yard. read more

Get it?? no? okay...so anywho I contacted Kerry to do some extensive stucco and some light drywall work per the recommendation on Nextdoor app. Anxious, I waited for his walk through because I was afraid of how expensive the price would be. But when he went over the options with me I was no joke elated with his pricing and said yes on the spot! He himself and his crew arrived around 9am and got to work. After a full days of work in demolitioning and prepping for cement, the sun was fading so they decided it would be best to come back the next day to do the patching. Day two the crew arrived a bit earlier and went to work. I like to observe when contractors work because I enjoy knowing how to do things however I was busy myself with tons of errands to do. by the time I got back, they were pretty much done, cleaning up and doing some finishing touches. It looked great! I asked him to give me a quote on some drywall corner cracks and peeling as well as an entire door frame needing drywall work. His price once again was great and he was back out a week later fixing those things as well. My wife is very happy with the work Kerry has done, we have put it off for over 2 years because of my lack of motivation...and now I just need to complete it with some paint. My take aways from this experience: Price 5/5, He might be the most fair priced patcher in all of the OC area. Punctuality 4.5/5, He didnt set a hard start time which can kind of keep you guessing and waiting but he did show up in the "morning" as promised. Work ethics: 5/5 he and his crew worked consistantly from start to finish with only a lunch break, thats impressive yall! Communication: 3.5/5. Kerry is a busy guy, once you get to speak with him, he will be up front with you that sometimes you wont hear from him and if you dont by a certain day to reach back out to him. Remember, he doesnt have a full staff answering calls for him or anything like that, hes truly running a small business by himself with the help of maybe 3 others in the labor side. Also, the lower half of four walls had been stripped down to the studs after remediation. We got several drywall bids. Kerry's rate was about in the middle. After a complete rewire of our house, we were left with some 100+ holes to fill - the walls of the house looked like Swiss cheese! So who to call to get the job done right, and at a fair price? After searching for drywall companies with good reviews, I came across Kerry's Patching, and found they had only good to glowing reviews, so gave them a call. Kerry came out, and after counting up and assessing each of the holes, he gave a quote for the cost of repair, along with an estimated timeline for completion of the work. It took 3 days for them to patch all the holes, which included several holes in the popcorn ceiling (with which they did a good job of matching the surface texture). They did a great job restoring all the wounded walls, with the patchwork being perfectly flush. Side note: After Kerry and his crew did their thing, we had other professional contractors back (including the electricians who made the holes), who commented on how impressed they were by the patching job. Oh the joys of owning a new home. My wife and I used our garbage disposal for the first time just for all the food to push up out of the other side of the sink along with gallons of water and a stench like death. Yea I have that home warranty that came with the house but the company has an F with the BBB and 3,000+ reviews of pure horror stories. I called my trusted plumber who informed me the old drainage system needed to be replaced since even if he snaked it it would clog again in months. Unfortunately this piping overhaul required him to cut out the wall under my sink and put a fairly large hole on the outside wall. I immediately wanted to both cry and puke at the same time but it had to be done. I jumped on google while he was chiseling away my wall to find out who will repair the exterior stucco and the interior plaster wall. 99% of the search results do one or the other. The trick, as always, is to patch the wall so the work doesn't show...so the wall doesn't look patched.
