Day of surgery he drew two small lines on me told me not to get out of the bed and that he would complete the drawings on the surgery table. A nurse came by and asked if he drew on me and I said yes he would draw more inside she said yes he often does that. During surgery he did not draw any additional lines simple cut less than a 1 lb. Combined off of both of my legs leaving 2.5 lbs of excess skin remaining. I confronted him and requested an explanation and revision and was denied told to save up 30k and get a cosmetic procedure that he never mentioned in the consultation a circumferential thighplasty. He discriminated against me based off payment type. Refused to provide me a letter of explanation or his recommendation to provide my insurance. Refused to refer me to a specialist through my insurance and claimed he couldn't cut my skin because there were too many nerves. Worst medical experience of my life. He also prescribed medication that is harmful to me which he knew. He does not listen to patients or put their needs first. If he didn't feel confident to remove my skin he should have transferred me to another Dr. So many things he did wrong. Do not risk it with this man.

I was awake during my procedure, so when I got nervous, he would talk to me, and that helped me stay calm and relaxed. I felt no pain; I thought he was marking my skin with a pen when he was cutting. I'll add an after photo once I heal. The staff was also great. His surgical Tech Deondre and the man with ginger hair made me feel safe before my procedure started by answering my many questions. My mom was very nervous, so they called her to inform her once the procedure began. We are both delighted I chose to do it with Dr. Lars as opposed to a doctor in the Bay Area. I got a far better price and treatment plan. I do plan to do all my future procedures at this office. The team went above and beyond. Also, they are taking great precautions for COVID-19.
