Over priced , bad craftsmanship and the WORST customer service! The owner yells at his customers and gives so much attitude. I dropped off my black leather boots shine and repair the heels and paid significant amount. I wore it the next day and both heels fall off . The owner starts yelling at me that it's not his fault and he refuses to fix it unless I pay again. To add insult to injury , Before I walk out I ask him for my other shoes that I dropped off on a different ticket . I gave him the ticket he denies that he still has it and is yelling at me that i already picked it up. I asked him to go back and look. Guess what! He found it. After the death of the cobbler in another town who'd long repaired my shoes and boots, I had a heck of a time finding anyone to replace him. I took my shoes and boots--which I've owned for decades--to various shops, and kept getting told, "These shoes and boots are too old. It's time to buy new ones. I wouldn't be able to put new soles and heels on these." And then finally--happily!--I found Kermoff Shoes on Clifton Avenue, in Clifton. The fellow there told me that the leather on my old shoes and boots was still good, and he could put new soles and heels on them. I've been to so many leather repair shops. From mom and pop stores in Brooklyn to the famous Leather Spa .. but not one establishment has left me as satisfied as Kerimoff's. The customer service was great and the turn around time was really fast. I first brought in my Marc Jacobs bag to fix the leather straps that had got worn out through wear and tear. And after the owner repaired it - it looked brand new. Next, since I was confident in their skills, I brought in my Tory Burch sandals that I've worn to death - literally. It finally gave out and broke in the middle of the street. The owner fixed it in 2 days and I was so happy with the result. My 4.5 year old favorite cowboy / western boots had absolutely seen better days. For starters, I had worn the heels down past the rubber soul - so much so that the actual wooded souls were already starting to become worn down. To add insult to injury, each boot sported a hole on the ball of the foot. I truly thought I had to kiss my favorite boots goodbye until, on a whim, I decided to bring them to Kermioff Shoes. I chose Kermoff first because they were a small, local business and I believe in "shopping locally." It turned out I had hands-down made the right decision. The very kind, competent owner absolutely brought my boots back to life! He was able to re-sole and restore the entire underside of the boots, so much so that they look brand new! He did mention jokingly that "it wasn't easy" and I absolutely believe that, given the condition I brought them in. However, one couldn't tell that it wasn't an easy fix considering how amazing and new they look! Not to mention, he gave me a very, very reasonable price that was still under what other larger repair shops would have charged (and well worth it). Also, the turnover time was a couple of days / very quick considering the work that the boots required. Moving forward I'll definitely be brining my boots back more frequently for maintenance rather than waiting as long as I did. This all being said, I was very, very pleased and I highly recommend Kerimoff Shoes for any shoe repair, big or small. read more

This was my first and last visit here. I brought in a pair of leather knee high boots I had for about a year prior that needed the rubber on the heels repaired. In the year prior, I had probably worn them 20 times. I thought the $25 plus tax price tag for the work was a little steep, but fine. I also thought that having to wait 10 days for a seemingly simple repair was a little extreme, but ok, also fine. I paid and picked them up accordingly. The work looked ok, They also conditioned the leather which was nice. But the second time I put them on after the work was done, an hour into my work day, the entire heel came off! I had to purchase an alternate pair of shoes on my lunch break to get through the day. When I brought the boots back to complain and see what they could do, they didn't offer to comp or even dscount the repair, saying it was a production issue. Well, if that we true, it's awfully coincidental that I hadn't a problem with the heel until after I asked to have the rubber bottoms repaired. And IF that WERE true, and they were so poorly made that the heel was about to come off in the next few hours of wear, how did they not notice that when they were up close and personal repairing the rubbers and either fix it or make a recommendation to have that repaired when I picked them up? One star for pricing and customer service. If I was going to have ti pay to have further repair work done, my money wasn't going to Kerimoff. When I explained the issue to the next shoe repairmen I brought them to, he said I should take them back to the place that repaired the rubbers and that they should fix them for me for free. Ha. I told him I had already tried that and they refused. He also quoted me $20 including tax to have the rubbers repaired should I need to do that again. I'm relatively new in this town and still choosing local vendors to use regularly as I need them and I will never take my loyal business back to Kerimoff Shoes, nor will I recommend them to anyone else I know. read more

"This place is amazing. Now, I don't know much about fashion, fabric, and the least of all repairs - but what the owner did to my shoes was impressive. My girlfriend bought me a pair of dress shoes for Christmas and I haven't really worn them because not only were the soles extremely slippery but they seemed to scuff easily. I spoke to a coworker that said that this shop was able to add a thin layer of traction material to the bottom of shoes - think 1/6th of an inch. These additions have a pattern that creates grip and also protects the soles so that they don't get scuffed up. I brought my pair of shoes in and he was able to have them back to me in 2 days. I was even able to wear them out after our recent storm - with the black ice all over the city and it was still okay. I told my gf to take her Christian Louboutins there to see what he can do about adding the addition sole to her shoes too. She just dropped them off today but she said he was able to match the exact red of the soles." read more

He fixed 2 pairs of my flip flops perfectly earlier is week so then today I brought in the real test. "My favorite Gucci suede heels", they have been sitting in my closet for 3 or 4 years collecting dust and taking up space but I loved them so much that I just couldn't bring myself to throw them out even though I was told by another shoe repair shop in Sparta, NJ that they aren't fixable. The rubber heel portion had worn down to the wood. I brought them in this morning to Rovshan at Kerimoff shoe repair and he said "Of course i can fix them it's NO PROBLEM at all, You can pick them up this afternoon". Imagine my surprise.. not only can they be fixed but he will do it right away and have them ready for when I finish with work this afternoon!! Rovshan matched the color of the rubber heel portion perfectly to the color of the wood heel (they look even better than the original color Gucci had on them and he also cleaned the light tan suede (which was filthy) all for $25. Absolutely amazing shoe repair shop!!! I can't say enough good things about this shop and about Rovshan. Honestly, you just don't see service like this anymore these days! Thanks so much Rovshan you have a customer for life even if my job location changes and I am no longer in the area regularly I will definitely make the 40 minute trip to bring in my shoes for repair. Overpriced. Twenty-five dollars to clean a pair of flats , not even repair them. One pair of flats looked the same as when I had dropped them off. The man at the counter is cold and standoffish at best. Will take my business somewhere else. It takes a week to get a pair of shoes clean too, so be patient. read more

I brought in a couple of sneakers that needed some attention, and it was a decision that I do not regret. I was immediately acknowledged and greeted by an Asian man that I'm pretty sure runs the store. The customer service was exceptional, as he was very attentive to detail and made sure he knew exactly what I wanted my sneakers to look like once he was done with them. There was a language barrier, but he was very patient and was nice the entire interaction. As for the repairs, my order was completed in a timely fashion (two days) and, I kid you not, my sneakers looked like they came out of the box when I first bought them!! I'm glad I chose this place. I've been here before for my shoes but this time I was going to get my purse fixed. There was an Asian man that attended me. I went in on a Monday and he told me it was a quick fix to come back on Thursday. I went on Thursday to get my purse. He said 2 more hours and I looked at him and said you told me Thursday but no specific time. He got very mad and nasty and asked me what I needed to do that I couldn't wait 2 more hours. After telling him I really can't wait, he told me 15 minutes and told me to go wait in my car.
