As the last time when we entered this small shop, we were immediately impressed with how much "stuff & such" was on display. All wall spaces, tables, and shelves were filled with their unique, and colourful offerings of all kinds - very nicely-displayed, and presented to catch passing eyes! For daughter and I once again, the same variety and selections of crafts, gifts, and such as seen before. Of special note to me this visit though, was seeing the large collection of 'hand-painted glassware by Errol Brimacombe'. It was nice to see such a wide-selection of this Chilliwack artist's glassware pieces on display here (and my photo only shows pieces on the table, missing the others on shelves behind) The same wonderful aromas of their homemade fudges, gelato offerings, and other sweets filled the air, and added that same nice touch to the senses of our previous visit. We were happy to have had this chance for a return visit to this fine shop.

We were familiar with it's "sister" store in Harrison -- seeing the original store was a first-time experience for us. I had already settled my sights and shopping on some items in the Harrison store, so this stop was really only a quite short, drop in, and take a peak browse. Glad to have had the opportunity to catch a view -- it's a small, and rather cute little gift shop -- the offerings geared to, or appearing to cater more to 'local' customers, than their shop in Harrison.

I snuck in here just before close today at 4pm. I felt a bit rushed. There were so many new things to see. As I was leaving, a very well dressed lady asked me if the store was closed, I said yes. She was very flustered and disappointed and said these opening hours don't make sense, during the holiday season, especially for shoppers who work full time hours during the week. I agreed with her, it doesn't make sense to close at 4pm on a busy December weekend. Especially in today's economy. You would think they'd be open till 6 or 8 at least. So today you lost two customers who were ready to spend a lot of money. I hope you consider extending your holiday hours. A lot of shoppers from District 1881 (most of those stores are open till 8) also head down to Wellington Ave and Mill Street at the same, only to find closed shops.

Daughter and I did a couple of shopping / browses here during our stay in Harrison last week…read more When there the first time, daughter spotted and called my attention to some jigsaw puzzles featuring art works by Indigenous artists. One puzzle that especially caught our eyes, featured art of Richard Shorty. It was entitled 'Garden of Hummingbirds', and showed several of his creations against a white background. I had seen several of these hummingbird pieces when viewing many of Richard's original paintings and prints in person (at art shops). I knew this one was a very different kind of puzzle from the many others I have purchased over the years, would add nicely to the daughter's collection, and when completed, would look lovely framed. In my mind, it was a must buy. She was thrilled upon receiving the puzzle, and looked forward to completing it. And yes, definitely planned to frame and hang it.

Re: some 'Padraig Cottage Slipper' memories…read more I saw a sign in the window of 'Blue Dandelion' during last week's stay in Harrison, which indicated they sell 'Padraig Slippers'. Seeing the sign triggered memories of the pair I purchased there, as a gift for my lady, during a stay in Harrison back in April, 2019. To quote from the 'tags' attached to the slippers when purchased -- the Padraig Cottage slippers are ... "made in Canada by hand, using 100% sheep wool, sheepskin, and leather." My lady has truly-loved and enjoyed wearing the pair she received. And from personal observations, I know they have been worn very often, and have stood up to all the wearing well. It was good to see these wonderful slippers are still being sold there. Maybe a pair for me when in Harrison for our next stay?

But if you need that last piece to finish the job, the higher price is made cheaper by the cost of petro you don't have to use to drive so far away. The staff is friendly & helpful, and there is a notebook by the register asking what you (the customer) want them to stock. I think they will get there. They have a good supply of pex connectors, but out of copper pipe when I was there.

I was abused by a cashier because I am a woman with disabilities. She humiliated me in front of…read moreother customers to the point where I cried and became angry, and her manager stated that he stood by her and proceeded to try to upset me further by attacking me for being upset and how I was displaying my upset. Rona is a horrible business and too lax with employee training and standards. I will never shop there again, and will encourage those around me to shop at Canadian Tire or Home Depot...the standards are better in those stores.
