    I spoke to Niki and asked specific questions to test her competency. I asked if I could do this and…read moreshe said ok. As far as I'm concerned,she failed miserably. I do not recommend her if you need someone who really knows the intricacies of taxes. I also asked if there are any differences between an EA and CPA and her response was that both can do exactly the same things. My specific question was if I want to make absolutely sure that I am not hit with penalties, what is the sure way of doing that. I told her my assumptions was both my wife and I are retired and no W2 and AGI of over $150,000. She spoke of things but not what I was looking for which was the Safe-harbor rule of making estimated taxes of 110% of last year'sl AGI. The things she mentioned were not going to protect me of penalties. The following is my response to your response. I have given you ALL relevant information to determine safe harbor amount. I interviewed another accounting professional (CPA) and gave the same information that I gave you. First response was safe harbor rule. Hopefully, this will help you in your work with your clients.
