The West Shore Farmer's Market is actually so cool!!!! Just went for the first time yesterday and…read morewas really impressed. It was larger than the Harrisburg downtown one and reminded me of Reading Terminal in Philly (less crowded but still lots of options). There's also tons of parking all surrounding the building. The upstairs section has small specialty shops; the lower level is full of food vendors -- from produce to fresh pasta to tacos to pizza to pierogies to quiches. They also even had plant stands and floral arrangements. I got 1.5lbs of fresh made spinach fettuccine from Fasta & Ravioli, two very tasty bagels from Bagel Lovers (foccacia flavored and everything egg bagels--both were SO delicious and a great texture; they also had tons of other varieties like pumpernickel, onion, and blueberry, all made fresh daily and for a very reasonable price -- I think I paid something around $3 for my two bagels). I could've spent tons more time there but unfortunately was just stopping by after running an errand in the area. Needless to say, I will be back!!

Stopped by the market after a coworker mentioned they had opened a new fried chicken restaurant…read moreinside. I decided to give it a try, and overall, I was impressed. The fried chicken was the highlight of the meal. It had a golden-brown, crispy coating and was cooked perfectly--juicy, tender, and not dried out at all. The portions were generous, with some of the largest pieces of fried chicken I've seen from a hot food counter. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, making for a great side dish. The cornbread muffin was moist, soft, and paired well with the meal. The only downside was the potato wedges. They were seasoned well, but a few pieces tasted a little overcooked or burnt, which took away from an otherwise solid meal. Overall, this was a very good first experience. Between the large portions, fresh food, and flavorful chicken, it's definitely worth stopping in if you're looking for a quick comfort-food meal. I'd happily go back and try it again.

I went into this place based off of two peoples experiences, one was lisa a's fantastic 5 star…read morereview, the other was a co-worker he loved it. So here, we went one day after going to Little Saigon (which is now under new ownership) this is Vietnamese owned & operated. The have a similar selection of products, like little saigon and kim's and tu du, but it is a little smaller. it has a large hand written sign that praises its fresh fish: but when i got there there was half a rubbermaid container of chesapeake blue crabs, a large selection of shrimp and then a few laid out fish on the side, there was a sink where one employee was washing and cleaning the fish for customer purchase. They had the staples like rice, noodles, fresh durian, fish, beansprouts, medicines, lottery, things like that. they had a so - so selection of indonesian items, mostly sambal, soup flavorings, krupuk and a few things like that. there were three other indonesian women shopping there. Also there was a spanish couple there buying things too. they had ice cream and a few other regular goodies, mint leaves, medicine in a jar, processed yam, coffee, sausages, pho soup paste, tom yum shrimp flavoring, and all kinds of self-serve packaged noodles. open since march 2008. accepts credit cards 10 dollar minimum sun-thur 9a-9p fri & sat 9a-10p

My reviews are different. I do not announce myself or tell anyone; I am here to do a review!! I was…read moreout mid-afternoon on another beautiful ride here in Central Pennsylvania. The day before, I stopped at the same place to get some delicious fish, but that night I wasn't able to "swim with the fishes," so I came back the second day--and that was the best "swimming in the ocean" I ever did. I indulged in some delicious, cheesy, savory grits along with some delicious shrimp, fried to perfection with a golden, crispy brown outer layer drizzled with seasoning (but not too much). I also had some delicious flounder; now, this fish wasn't any less than the shrimp. The fish was one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had. I know a lot of fish--all the fish in the sea know me, and I know the fish. I must say the establishment is pretty inviting; however, myself being a cleaner, I know that it can definitely use a good cleaning. I did use the bathroom, and well, that was before I had my food and not after, which means it's good, and also the kitchen is clean. I enjoy this place because you do not have to deal with a waiter when it comes to ordering your food. All you have to do is just order at a kiosk, which makes it more convenient. They also sell smoothies, which are very nice as well. I do recommend this place for "to-go" food. To dine in would be okay, but would not be ideal only because it does need a good touch-up; however, the food is always consistent. If you have any questions, there are staff on site. I hope my review helps you make your decision on choosing to visit this location. My Ratings: * Food: 5/5 * Establishment: 2.5/5 * Convenience: 5/5

Food was hot, but the fish had a peculiar smell to it and it tasted just like it smelled, oily and on the verge of going bad. The "seasoned" fries were a long way from seaso Ed, no salt no pepper. They tasted old not fresh cut, just old reheated frozen fries. I had placed a pick order through GH, when I arrived to pick up my order, the guy at the counter could not find d my order statin " we have no orders under that name" I asked him to look again he went to the back and "found!" my order. I should have left it right there. It really was bad dry taste less frozen fish, old soggy unseasoned refried frozen fries. Seventeen dollars went I to the trash and I am still hungry! Ambiance? There is none. A few tables and chairs, no pictures on the walls, and a very small kitchen I think it was a kitchen, I did not see a stove or any other appliances. Hookers is off my list!!
