We fully acknowledge our responsibility in making the purchase "blind" - that's on us. That said, within the first week we had to get a new emergency brake, new brake pads, rotors and calipers. Three weeks later we had to replace the catalytic converters and manifolds. The mechanic stated the evap purge valve needed replaced and it would cost $1645.00. The part itself is about $71 and he stated labor was $160/hour. It takes less than 10 min to replace this part, not 10 hours. Ended up replacing it ourselves for the price of part and about 5 min. Ford quotes the amount of hours dealerships are allowed to charge for labor so I'm confused how this simple fix totaled over $1600 here but will definitely not return to this dealership.
