I commute into Seattle through this sounder station on a daily basis and the more time I am dropped and picked up from this area, I am beginning to realize how dangerous this station can be. From homeless people strung out on drugs, to people approaching you for money, in broad day light around 3 pm, there is a lot of police activity that makes me alert during my daily commute. The morning commute isn't so bad as most of the working individuals huddle together and the transit station worker is diligent with updates but arriving back to the station is a whole other experience. The other day, all of the sounder trains uptown and downtown were shut down due to somebody abandoning a stolen car on the tracks after a high speed police chase. Scary.
Also the other day while waiting for my ride, a random gentleman approached me insisting he'd give me a ride. No thanks - creepy and scary. read more
