My wife and I had an introductory meeting in his office years ago and have been with him ever since. His daughter Liz is an instrumental participant in the practice as well. We have been very pleased since Day 1. After the initial visit, the majority of our interactions have been on the phone. Their checklists and other tools are updated and provided each year before tax season begins, and are very helpful. Their prices are very reasonable and the quality of their work is great. Additionally, we've had to pay estimated taxes and Tom prepares the quarterly submission paperwork on our behalf and sends it with our tax return. He also electronically submits our returns. When I have dropped by the office, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. We have complete confidence in Tom and his Team. As such, when we relocated to Colorado in late November 2018, we asked whether they could continue to support us with our new location, and the answer was yes! Every year they send out a summary sheet on the new tax laws and their impact on our return versus the previous year, as well a detailed questionnaire to understand our situation and ensure that we get the most out our deductions, expenses, and return. The staff have always been honest and forthright in explaining what is and is not allowed and have saved us multiple times when a last-minute extension was needed or there was an issue with a late business voucher. It's obvious this company cares about their clients and they provide solid tax advice and preparation.

I arrived on time, but I was greeted by a young man named James, who I believe was an assistant. He informed me that Huey was still out to lunch. Unfortunately, his extended lunch was more important than attending a scheduled meeting with a new client. James was very helpful and professional in assisting me with the intake of my tax documents. He took my information, and told me that I would receive an email notifying me of any additional documents needed. I went home and waited for the email. After about a day, I called the office. It went straight to voicemail, and I left a message asking for the email I was told I'd receive. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any email, so a couple days later I called again, got the voicemail, and left another message asking for a follow-up. I've received zero communication back. Disappointingly, this was a total waste of time for me, and despite the positive reviews I read on the Yelp.com page for this business, I was totally ghosted by them after investing my time in trying to become a new client of theirs. Unless you enjoy wasting time and being ghosted, I do not recommend this business to any new clients. Update: About a week after writing this review, the owner of the company contacted me. They admitted to everything I wrote. Their excuse for Huey's extended lunch was that he had a stroke, and their excuse for not returning my calls was that they were having a new carpet installed. They then tried to bribe me into deleting my review by offering to do my next year's taxes free of charge. Attached is a screenshot of the text offering the bribe. Trying to bribe a client to pull an accurate review is a dishonest and shady business practice. All the more reason to avoid this place.

The first impression from Vern was he has very good memory and does thorough research into the documents that you send him so when you talk about the "issues" he recalls the details, and with accounting its all about the details. Vern did a great job with our taxes, he delivered on time as promised. I just happened to review the work he did on our 2008 returns and they look great. I will definitely use Vern again, I appreciate his ethics, integrity, and ability to get the job done in a timely manner. Lastly, Vern is very personable, warm and makes you feel comfortable discussing money.

By April 2015 we haven't heard anything back from him and couldn't get a hold of him. Craig stopped picking up his phone. Both mine and my dads taxes were not done yet. My dad started going to his business personally to talk to him. My dad was told that my taxes were extended. Craig said that any late fees would be paid by him. Finally by July my wife and I were done messing with Craig and picked up our taxes to find a real CPA. Come to find out that my taxes were not filed for an extension and late fees did occur!!! We didn't even bother trying to squeeze any cash out of him. This guy is a joke and cannot be in business for much longer, for health reasons or just plain poor business practices. Please do yourself a favor and find a more reliable accountant.
