We got a tip from a friend that we should come here for dinner, because the food and service is very good. This was a a restaurant that is tucked behind the pro shop at Kensington Golf Course. In addition to seating in the bar, they also have an amazingly large outdoor seating area near fountains. Upon arrival, we waited a few minutes because the restaurant was very busy. However, once we were seated we were greeted immediately by our server Kathy. She took our drink orders, and came back with them quickly. My wife had a Modelo beer and I had a Yuengling. (Both were on tap. ) For dinner, my wife selected the Blackened Fish Tacos. This was made with Red Fish fillets, and placed in soft flour tortillas, with jalapeño slaw, diced tomatoes, and cilantro lime aioli. She loves fish tacos, and has gotten them in restaurants all over the country. She said that without a doubt, these were the best she has ever had! I ordered the New York Strip steak. It was flame broiled, and prepared perfectly to my order (medium). It was served with a salad, baked potato and green beans. Delicious! This place is horrible. We just walked out. We sat after being seated and no waitress would wait on us. After 20 minutes and not one single person asked for drinks they waited on someone that was just seated. I can say we will never be back after the way we're treated. Shame on you people, we took our money someplace else. Yes I'm mad, today is my birthday and we had to walk out. I can't even give you any stars. Funny I had to leave a star to post this. read more

Took my mother out for Mother's Day! Probably one of thee worst experiences supposedly at a higher end place. The menu was terrible. 3/4 of our meals were cold. Also our reservation was set for 2:00 and didn't get seated until 2:45-3:00. When our party went to ask about our table along with 2-3 other parties waiting to be seated the manger Melissa just came out yelling and was being super rude to there own employees. Probably will not be coming back nor recommending this to anyone. read more

We have reservations for a family gathering for a party of eleven and enjoyed good service and great food at reasonable prices. We were seated on the outdoor patio and it did become a little warm, but at least the server kept the ice water and adult beverages coming! I ate a baked potato which was enormous and a side Caesar salad which I liked. The fresh made chips were a lot for an appetizer. My husband ordered the blackened fish tacos for his main meal, and he liked them. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves in this relaxed atmosphere with a beautiful view of the golf course. We enjoyed a nice, light late summer dinner at the bar, as the sun set. It is relatively cozy setup inside with only a few small tables around a 20 person U-shaped bar. We were pleasantly surprised by the food and drinks. We ate at the bar and the servers were great. The place got busy after a bit as a local tournament finished. The servers tag-teamed the surge and it went well. Fun vibe, although that was probably the fun golfers. The Outside has a nicely done courtyard with some fountains and fire pits. Worse dining experience ever. Went for Mother's Day lunch, had reservations for 12:45. sat 15minutes later. No bid deal. There were 7 of us. Drink order taken. They came out one at a time in 5 minute intervals. Orders were taken 2 appetizers ordered With our meal orders. Appetizers came out cold and after our cold soups. Only 2of our meals came out 20 min later and they were cold. Been here several times, and the food and service has always been good (not amazing, but good enough). The problem is that the music inside is always loud and obnoxious. I'm accustomed to going to loud sports bars, but this place is another level. Once it was so loud, that we were forced to ask that they turn it down a little. But even when we didn't ask, it was an unpleasant experience. And the worst country music on top of it - but even if it was music I liked, it's too loud. And it's not like this is 9pm on a Saturday, more like 3 in the afternoon on a Monday. If it wasn't for that, this would be a 4 star place. Sitting on their outdoor patio on the 6th of October in wonderfully warm weather is an added plus to this restaurant. They were busy, but we were welcomed quickly, ordered drinks and looked over the menu. Everything on the menu looks good from burgers to steaks and wings. Our meals came out hot and were very good. made reservation for 6@6:00. went to restaurant 5 hours early to request specific table. I was assured it would be ready. when we arrived 10 minutes early our table was occupied. the table they gave us had our guests backs against the wall. this required them to crawl over wash other to get out. the food is fair not great. avoid the peppers and oil. it was a bowl of oil with a few anemic looking pepper rings. I would like to point out this was for my sisters birthday for which I was in town from Oklahoma. the service was also only fair such as Ice tea with no Ice. we opted to not to drink as the service made us feel uncomfortable. after all this they didn't even comp a price of Cheesecake for my sister. poor performance period read more

I'll just start with the service alone is atrocious, having to wait 45 minutes just to order is unreal. But then you get the wonderful experience of receiving half of what your table ordered! Followed up with a side of excuses and a smooth finish of not actually receiving the rest of your meal at any point. Decent place to grab a bite to eat. Stayed in the Courtyard on the property so just walk out back. They have a great, beautiful patio area but was 90 degrees so too hot to enjoy. I'm not sure if I came in the back door, but walked into the bar area and sat myself. Plenty of servers in this area including a manager. Note sure if there is other area of the place since the bar was all I saw. Good beer tap choice and good menu options. I had an order of 6 dry rub Cajun wings and a chicken salad. Wings were nice and crispy. The salad was large and I had blue cheese dressing. I could tell it was thinned out because good blue cheese dressing is thick. Still good however. The service was average in my opinion. I also didn't car for the manager getting after the kitchen through the servicing window for messing up an order. This is not professional and should have been handled differently. $30 for 2 drinks, my wings and a salad. Your call if that's expensive. The food was pretty good but service was so so. This is my first visit and we had a large group for a retirement party so I will only touch on the service. We were given a limited menu and I ordered the salmon and asked for it blackened. The seasoning had a good flavor and the fish was done as asked. It was about 1/4" thick - all the way through the filet. Extremely small for the price. I received 2 sides and a salad. My friend ordered chicken Parmesan. The chicken was nice and crispy but the sauce.....oh, the sauce. (If you've read any of my other reviews you know I'm an Italian sauce snob :) ) My friend said what do you think? I said "ketchup" she said "I agree". I didn't hear any major complaints among the 30 ladies I was with. We had 2 waitresses who did their best. However, I did go into the bar to order a drink. I evidently had my invisible suit on because I walked away after 15 minutes. The grounds are beautiful as most golf courses are. The outdoor patio was closed for a private party but this would be a beautiful option for next time. There are gluten free offerings noted on the menu, although there's a bit of ambiguity with some of the items (gf bread is available but no indication which sandwiches can be made gf). I got the beet salad w/ sirloin steak added. Portion size was good. Steak was somewhat overdone but the seasoning was tasty. I am giving this place 5 stars for a different reason than I normally give. Simply because this place is mature, and well kept place to go. I went on Monday when wings are 50 cents basically, and they are big and filling. Good selection of sauces too. They also have my favorite beer on draft, KBA(Kentucky Bourbon Ale). It is quiet and over looks the golf course which is really nice. The patio is very large and to my understanding, they keep the patio open all year long, they just insulate it. The food is good and the atmosphere is very very nice. The servers are good too and have good timing. I plan on coming here a couple Mondays out of the week with my friends. As a frequent bar attendant of this establishment the atmosphere and staff are awesome but the kitchen staff and management is HORRIBLE. 1) you will wait minimum of 30-45 mins for food (and expect it to be cold) 2) price vs portion size is ridiculously mid proportioned 3) it's guaranteed to come out missing something or just completely wrong 4) quality of food is pathetic at best. I have tried so many times to like this place because as mentioned the atmosphere and front of house staff are great, but just don't get tipsy and expect to eat quality, time appropriate meals because it just isn't in their wheel house. read more
