I walked around to check out the venue, and sat at a table... and waited. I saw two tables over get helped. For me no help or even acknowledging I'm there. I made a point of holding a menu at the table up so they would get the idea I wasn't there for nothing. I finally walked up to the the bar counter, menu in hand, and waited to be helped. It took a while. I ultimately asked for the Paddy Plate (a burger and fries), and a small Kilkenny. I paid my bill right away. 20 Swiss Frnc. The meal came and it was hamburger with sauce on toasted white bread on top of some barely fried potatoes. I ate the meal though it kept falling apart due to being white sandwich bread. I had it cut in half, and half of a half fell on the floor from being so flimsy. Wrapping up. No one asked if Id like another pint or could I get anything for you. The service was terrible, the food was terrible... and they didn't even have Irish music. It was too expensive for what I ordered. I'd go somewhere else if I were anyone reading this. 13 for paddy plate and 7 for not even a pint. Worst Irish pub I've ever been in and I travel the world.

Fish n chips were deliciously crispy; while the burger has decent moist MMMeat. Alas, the cheese was dried out and burnt on the edges. (I mean, how does one manage to burn cheese?!) Sit outside if the weather permits, because the setting is really inviting with tea light candles and fresh flowers on the table. A glass of Lillet Blanc and a Guiness on tap are excellent end of the night drinks. The friendly service warrants the 4th star, but you should go somewhere else for the best burger in town.

Beer: This place gets five stars because it is the only place in town (well at least as I write…read morethis) that carries a wide variety (they have 20 lines available) of independent craft beer on tap that updates it's availability and ever changing offerings to an IT system that is linked to their electronic menu and on-line menu. Service: Let's not forget the people are pretty and the food are pretty decent. Starting with service, you know that can go wrong very easily in Zurich. In here, it is so smooth and uncomplicated because you need to go up and order your drinks and food at the counter. You get a number assigned to you and your party, so that your bill is allocated to that number, which makes ordering pretty easy because every time you reorder you just need to bring the plastic card with your number or just remember it so they can bill it to your number. At the end of your meal when you pay they will just ring up your check based on the number you have. Food: The food is not too shabby here. They have various burgers, from beef, fish, chicken to veggie and all are pretty good on a nicely toasted burger bun. Once I skipped the meal (eating is cheating) and had a nice order of fries. Location/Ambiance: it is very close to the University of Zurich but the prices are higher than average beer bc you are getting craft beer on TAP. So it's not filled with students, it's a mixed crowd. They have a great list of beers on a screen (it's a digital screen right?) noting the locations and more info about them. Many of the prices are pretty steep, but, I really enjoy the ambiance and the food, and the beer! Last time I came they had an Ethiopian pop-up, or whatever you call it. They were serving Ethiopian food for a limited amount of time. I ordered the veggie platter with different curries and it was really delicious, and so pretty too! I always have a great time here.
