It misses a bit of authenticity... It all looks kinda artificial. I went to two times, the first time we were all alone... Kinda weird. They should have done some events the first weekend to attract people. The guy behind the bar was nice and friendly. But just left us alone. Instead of starting the talk. We even tried... But I think he prefered to continue playing on the computer. The second time there was 5 other people (a friday night). And the people were kinda trashy... I didn't feel very coosy. From the outside you'd never be able to tell what the interior holds; it has a quite a modern-looking patio and is on a well-heeled side street off the main shipping drag, Bonhofstrasse. It looks like it could be any other upscale bar until you walk inside: lots of dark gleaming yet well-worn wood, intricate tile work, and period paintings. You can take it all in as you sip the beverage of your choice. We weren't hungry enough to sample their food, but from what I could see on the other tables it looked pretty damn good. The bartender was very nice and friendly and the whole place just felt very comfortable. Well worth a visit.

The fish was fresh and crispy served with a basket of fries, tartar sauce and cole slaw. We ordered and paid at the bar and were served at the table. The place has a British pub vibe and is a great spot if you're looking for cozy bar. It's also a little further from the busy old town scene if you want a break from the heavy foot traffic.

I had two little glasses of Smithwick's, because my fellow Yelpers told me it's difficult to find this Irish beer elsewhere in Zürich. It's a really good-tasting beer, and I would have downed more, except I had to work the next day. I already had dinner before coming, so I couldn't partake in the tasting-looking menu. The fully-loaded nachos and pot pies and fries looked REALLY yummy. There was a guy named Mel who played the guitar and sang, and he was really good as a one-man band. I think he was supposed to stop at one point because there was a soccer game on tv, but due to popular request, he was able to keep on playing. The staff was really nice and spoke English. Afterward, we headed straight to Nelsons to continue the celebration of her remarkable life. And yes, this place delivered! The moment we stepped inside Nelsons, we were transported back in time to the jams of the 80s and 90s. The atmosphere was electric, fueled by the incredible selection of music that filled the air. They have a great DJ here spinning an awesome playlist that even played some of Tina's fantastic dance remixes. Totally fun.

My friend and I loved all the crazy choices, it´s nice to see a bar that offers something new and not only the standard gin tonic. The barkeepers ares super friendly and really know what they are doing. There is not a question they don´t have an answer to and they are also really helpful in making a great suggestion if you have difficulties making an educated decision.
