It gives us the chance to spend some time in the air and learn the area in a unique way. We took off from Friday Harbor, and flew to Orcas Island and back. Lou is a terrific pilot and instructor, and the Piper is a terrific aircraft. We had great visibility and the trip was smooth. It was a wonderful few hours. Next up, the biplane!

This morning while eating breakfast, my husband saw a flyer for AeroClassic. We called to see if…read morethey could fit us in and Lou was wonderful about setting up a 2pm flight for us. We arrived a little early, the building is extremely easy to find and it gave us time to gaze at the airfield and a couple little planes. When Lou arrived he was super friendly and went over the plan for our Introductory Flight for Two. As I have never flown before he gave me a short explanation of aerodynamics and how to use the rudders to turn the plane (very useful information once we got into the sky!). Lou was an amazing teacher in the air and let me guide the plane and decide where to go in that time period. When my time was up, we landed on Orcas Island to switch pilots and let my husband fly. Lou was a great teacher, he was very patient and kind. After this amazing experience with Lou; both my husband and I want to take private pilot lessons, we only wish that Lou was closer to be our teacher!

We only had one bad moment and that was when our connecting flight was canceled but one text to Lexxie and she got us on a different flight within 90mins and we were able to continue the trip. She admitted to being a new travel agent and that we were her first official customers but she obviously knows what she is doing! The first time I called I think I spoke to Doug (I was in a panic), even though he couldn't get me a car he was so helpful and friendly, offering info for other ways to try to remedy our situation. I ended up calling back because he had mentioned having a car for part of the days and I fugured it was better than nothing. This time I spoke with Megan who was also super friendly and helpful. She said, hang on I think I can make something happen for you. She got a car for the whole trip! Secondly, the whole process is a breeze! You pay ahead and get a confirmation email with all the info you could need, a map to get from the ferry to your vehicle (a very short walk), and a code to get in the car. They even have a sticky note with your name on the window. No waiting around in line, signing a bunch of stuff, like a corporate rental company. When you drop it off you just fill it up and leave it where you found it. I don't know if all the vehicles are like this but it was a hybrid so spent barely any money on gas! Would recommend them a million times over!

my truck was broken and stuck at roche harbor resort, i do not live on san jaun, i contacted…read moreallen auto repair about fixing my truck. he claimed that it was fixed. it took such a short amount of time and the truck had been sitting awhile that i asked him to put in all new tune up parts. i bought the parts and they were shipped to san jaun. he claimed to have installed those parts, and some he actually did. he called and told me the truck was ready to go. i went up with a friend which is no easy task and the truck would not run, and as previously mentioned some of the new parts were not installed and the parts taken out were not left with the truck, nor the new parts, he nicked me 500.00 dollars for this fraud. i paid with my credit card when he claimed to have finished. a stupid off islander huh! i ended up having it towed to whidbey where i live. please, no recommendation,

AVOID LATE NIGHT DISPATCH…read more -Called company in morning and scheduled a midnight pickup for seniors at the airport to deliver Hotel Bellwether. -Taxicab did pickup, but then took them to the wrong hotel. -Called dispatch to find out error and confirm wouldn't be charged...got this instead... --- "Not on record you asked for Bellwether, you'll need to pay full ride. We don't give free rides.." --- "Not gonna pay? Then I'm gonna call the cab. Your 80 year old parents will just have to find another way at midnight. " --- "Oh you gonna leave a bad review? DO IT! I don't care!" ...well she dared me...so here u go. Luckily the owner of the business was driving....he was more professional and courteous and gave me the 'ol "she's new" line to defend his black-hearted dispatch.
