Everything that can be amazing about a store is happening at Rollier's…read more I first went there at age 5. I'm 70 now and My kids are calling me saying, "Mom, we needed Tinners Red Paint on the job. Couldn't find it. I said I bet Rolliers has it. And they did. I went in there and it's all you said and more. Every employee knows where everything is. They know things. And all their stuff is so nice. Really quality. I'm never going to HD again." My heart sings. (And it's not overpriced!)

Love. Love. Love. Love…read more I was in town visiting family and I wanted to manifest some art supplies for my nieces. I placed a quick call to Rollier's and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They let me know that they had some watercolor crayons and that they would hold them for me at the front desk. I popped over and ended up buying a plethora of fun craft items. The staff were personable throughout my interactions with them. If you need hardware, or homeware, or craft supplies, or cooking supplies, or basic food items, and so much more - they have it here. The store is well organized and you can tell that the staff take genuine delight in assisting their customers. I was even more impressed with this store when I learned that it has been in this location for over 70 years and was even around before then - at a different location - https://www.doitbest.com/rolliers-hardware/about-us/ . So what's up! They even host some fantastic community events - https://www.doitbest.com/rolliers-hardware/special-events . If you are in the area and need some basic household items, decorations, or just want to do some magical browsing - be sure to support a legacy family-owned local business and check out Rollier's. My nieces were entertained for hours - thanks to Rollier's lovely diverse selection of goods. Trust.

The store is filled to the gills, covering all the usual tools, glues, hardware, fixtures, cleaning supplies, paint, etc. I haven't tried to buy bulky building materials from them -- they don't have a spacious lumber or pipe section like you would find at the big boxes -- but small things like bolts, fasteners, window glass, plumbing fittings... they've got that. You can also find a lot of seasonal decorations, some household/kitchen supplies, and other knick-knacks like CD-R discs and soft drinks. They do not seem to specialize in any locally-produced, non-toxic, and/or "green" products. They don't have an extensive selection of plants during the growing season, either -- just non-native "for show" flowers and lawn-oriented supplies. And while they carry a pretty wide array of tools, they don't seem to showcase any American-made or well-built simple tools (planes, augers, calipers) -- still seeking the place for these things. There are a couple of 15-minute "loading-only" parking spots on the street in front. Otherwise there's metered parking along Brownsville, or turn down Onyx for free street parking. The loading zone for some materials is around the back on Roll Way. This is close to the Unimart at McKinley, a NAPA Auto Parts, and Foodland.
