Needless to say, I canceled my appointment and drove to Fresno - went to Express Smog and Shaun got me in and out in less than 30 minutes with no appointment and great service. I have no problem supporting businesses on the mountain, but if I'm going to receive higher prices and lip in return, then screw it, I'll spend the little bit of extra diesel to go to Fresno.

On a better note, his place is reasonably organized, and he seems to have good equipment. Still, the clear and obvious overcharge was a conscious overcharge, and his reason makes zero sense. Smogs go for $45-70 bucks in this community. His work is fine. Watch the bill.
