If you belong to an organization, you know that branding is critical. I'm in several non profit groups, all for community service, equality, and supporting worthy causes. I am starting a small business and I try not to burn bridges, but this one is ash. Something changed after the initial meet and greet. Kenjo Inc. has no sense of quality workmanship. NONE. First thing out of their mouth is, "Why don't you do it yourself?". Is that something you want to hear from a business that said they offered a service? I checked by calling 3 weeks earlier to see if they provided heat transfer application to t-shirts, and the answer was yes at a certain quantity. No problem, I will have more then the minimum. My answer to the question about why was, "I wanted to support the local Hawaii economy.". But the real reason is, there is no way one person can do 1000 plus items in the future once the business grows. I guess Kenjo Inc. is doing too well to need our business. I should have taken the hint and left with my inventory that day. Worked out a trial where they would do a couple of shirts to see how long it would take to price the work accordingly. Sounds good. But on the way home I had a none confident feeling that they did not know what they were doing and so I called back to tell them to do just one shirt instead of a couple. Called again a day and half later to get a progress on things. Understandably they said one heat transfer was giving them issues because of its size and location. Okay, got it. Yet they failed to mention how clumsy and unprofessional of a job they did on the main front graphic. You should have seen it, it was tilted almost at a -30 degree angle that you would have to walk canted for it to look decent. Now I know the reason for businesses looking else where. Hawaii is lacking a very needed and valued sense of workmanship. read more
