I like the restaurant before this, can't remember the name, the prices and food were ok, i am a sushi fan (lived in japan for 4 yrs and wife is from there) an this was ok stuff, nothing special, i think they used the wrong rice read more

Small places have the best food! The apps were nice and hot- we had the Peking ravioli and egg roll. For sushi: the pink lady and spicy salmon. Pink lady is BOMB. Tastes fresh. The drinks were strong too! One less star because it was hot AF in there but the waitress did kick up the ac when we mentioned something. That aside the sushi was fresh and gone drinks fire. Can't beat the location either. read more

I love Kenichi! I've been going here for a few years now and I always have a good experience. They have yummy rolls at reasonable prices and inexpensive mixed drinks (beware, they are pretty strong). I usually get the Mt. Fuji roll, and it's delicious every single time. Also, keep a lookout for their happy hour menu on the weekends when they have cheaper apps and rolls. Very friendly staff and warm, inviting atmosphere. It's not very big, but it feels cozy. Definitely will continue going! read more

YUM! Very good food and reasonably priced. Everything I've tried here has been amazing :)

The Singapore Noodle and the dumpling soup were delish! The portions are huge and both could be shared between two. So many flavors and very fresh. read more

Small restaurant with friendly staff. Sushi was good and well sized but a bit pricey. Rolls were way too small for the price.

This place brought its pre-made food or brought it & cooked it at my job today. My company treated its employees (thousands) to a free lunch as a thank you to us struggling with our new computer system. THIS FOOD WAS THEE MOST DISGUSTING CHINESE FOOD I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! I can't stand Nancy Chang's but I would've gladly ate hers over this mess! Nothing tasted like it authentic Chinese cuisine, eventho it was MSG free. The rice season was bland & the chucks of imitation crabmeat was so gross I spit it back out! The General Gao chicken was so hard (?old), my fork couldn't penetrate it. When I did pick it up & bit into it, I quickly realized why the fork REFUSED to be embedded in it....nothing but rock hard batter! All the rest, chicken fingers, crab Rangoons, egg roll & potstickers were ALL HARD & BLAND!!! The equivalent of that reached my stomach wouldn't even have raised my blood sugar!!! I took mine to go & was attempting to eat it in my car within mins of getting it. I tossed it all in the trash at my next destination!!! Before I did, I thought about giving it to a corner homeless person...but then I don't want to insult them! I feel bad for all those employees who probably didn't bring a back up meal from home. read more

Great place to go in this area. Food are decent with reasonable price. People are friendly and atmosphere is warm and enjoyable. Definitely will go again. read more

I've gotten take out from Kenichi three times in the last 6 months. The rolls tended to be a little sloppy and loose. The sushi wasn't as good as, say, Baba, Haiku, or Yama Zakura, but it's definitely better than Osaka. If you've ever been to the Shiro in Hudson, it's about on par with that -- decent sushi for a middle of the road price. Also, it's worth noting that I also recently dined-in there (on a Sunday night, an hour before closing), and the food was a bit better than I'd found the take out to be. The rolls were tighter, fresher, and actually presented nicely. [And this isn't a knock on Kenichi, but I honestly can't figure out why this place has so many 5 star reviews. It's decent, but definitely not 5 star, especially considering the excellent choices available within a 20 minute drive. There was actually one guy at the bar the night I ate there who leaned over and told us that this was *the best* sushi you can find in the states, which is just funny because it's not even the best in Worcester. So if you're considering coming here for the first time, you might adjust your expectations a tad -- it's not a 5 star sushi restaurant. Period.] read more

Probably my favorite sushi place in the area (compared to Yama and Baba) as I think it's the best value for good quality, delicious, no frills sushi. Not a fancy place, and there is definitely better sushi out there, but this would be my go-to place for sushi take-out or a casual but delicious meal. read more

My favourite sushi in Worcester. Their other offerings were all very good but their sushi is sublime. They came highly recommended and I have since recommended them to numerous people and so far everyone has taken me up on the recommendation has raved about it. read more

This is my favorite sushi place in Worcester - always fresh and delicious, great service, and perfect mai tais!

Love love love Kenichi. Not because they have the best sushi in Worcester, because they don't (reflected in the price), but because they know what hospitality is all about. Their menu does have good sushi and American Chinese food as well as nice, strong drinks, many of which are only $5!! They remember you and your drink when you walk in and love to line up the sake bombs. The crowd is more blue collar and fun than you get in the more expensive and "nicer" sushi bars, I appreciate this. We have a great time whenever we are there! read more

This has to be the worst sushi that I ever had. I only have to say one word: Cockroaches! I saw at least 2 running around...it made me sick to my stomach. We told the bartender about it and he denied it, he was so rude it was unbelievable. I would never go back or recommend it to anyone for that matter, maybe it used to be good but it seems that the quality went WAY down. Just don't bother going there This place should be closed for sanitary reasons! read more

We have eaten in all the Sushi spots around Worcester. This restaurant gets a both thumbs up from me. Friendly staff, top notch sushi chef. Thank you Ken! read more

Amazing food! Got the spider maki and the crazy maki, will be back ASAP. The scorpion bowl was on point.

Very good Chinese food. You can tell they take time in the preparation of the food and handeling. I ordered take out and the fried noodles were great. read more

Our go to for sushi. Try the spicy crab Rangoon and tuna pizza! You'll thank me later!

I only had their sushi. The fish was simply not fresh enough to be served sashimi style. Rolls were also sloppily made which I would have forgiven had the fish been fresh enough. Otherwise the service is adequate and the ambiance is pleasant. The price is the same as other sushi restaurants in Worcester county (from Osaka to Baba) but you feel bad paying top dollar for off-tasting fish! Hope their cooked menu items are better but I won't bother finding out. read more

We went a couple of days ago. I have no complaints at all.The food was great and at good prices, the service was fast and attentive. Last time we had been there it was Zipango, and they have changed the decoration a bit but it's still good quality and good prices. read more

Don't know what all the complaints are about, the service is great , the decor is great, the food is great and best of all the prices are great. Kenichis excels in just about every category for their market, they are NOT a $$$$ restaurant so please don't expect $$$$ style dining. The seafood and sushi are always pretty fresh, the owner is extremely nice and the alcoholic selections are amazing. I recommend the love potion for a tasty beverage. Kenichis also features happy hour on some days that gives great deals that you can't find anywhere else. I saw some reviews comparing it to BaBa and that's just stupid, BaBa will cost you about 100-200 to eat there easily, where as Kenichi would only get to around 100 if you order about 7 dishes and what not. Lets be fair with our reviews people, this place is quality goodness and if it were priced and styled the way BaBa is then you can compare but at this level, there's no comparison. read more

Used to love this spot but lately the service is AWFUL. Twice found flies in my food. Just went tonight and was told they wouldn't serve us because we "probably drank somewhere else"... Even though we hasn't had a drop of alcohol we were told to leave. Not how a regular should be treated. read more

The $45 boat for two was fairly tasty, but the portions were subpar. Their sashimi is extremely small, the miso soup was cookie cutter, and the ginger dressing on the salad was totally bland and tasteless. I don't feel like the money spent was worth it, and my companion and I left feeling wholly unsatisfied. They still get a couple stars because their wait staff was on point. For a better deal, I'd look elsewhere. read more

This is definitely my favorite sushi place in the area. I'll admit I was a little wary at first due to how it looks on the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised. I have been here many times with friends and family and everyone always enjoys it. The sushi is delicious and the staff is very friendly. read more

A great, new sushi restaurant for Worcester! The special rolls are creative and beautiful, and there service is attentive and knowledgeable. Drinks are very affordable (about $5) and there is a wide price range of affordable sushi. All in all, wonderful! read more

Omg this place is terrible! All of us were disgusted by our rolls.. The seafood was not fresh at all and none of us finished our rolls.. I would be embarrassed to bring anyone special there.. The place was a dump!! Honestly save your money and find another place to eat sushi because this place was no good.. They should of left shrewsbury street to the Italians because this place was a big fail.. read more

My favorite place to go for a causal night out with great quality food. Sushi is amazing, but I love their happy hour menu. Great eats for super cheap. The mix drinks are also great, and probably the main reason I come back. read more

This place was ok. We wanted to try a new sushi place in the area and this place got good reviews but we probably won't go back. The waitress was very nice and extremely attentive. The entire staff was very friendly. The sushi was good but there was nothing special about it. We got four specialty rolls and they all tasted the same. read more

The pad thai was decent but nothing to write home about. Dining companions inhaled the sushi very quickly, and the price was right. Pluses: the order was ready WAY faster than I expected, even for a Monday evening. Staff were friendly and easy to communicate with. The sign is orange and fairly visible. read more

Jimmy is an amazing character who makes all his guest feel like family. Love giving my hard earned money to a wonderful person. Food is great. read more

The food is excellent, as is the friendly neighborhood atmosphere. We usually get an assortment of sashimi and try the Worcester roll. Great selection of sake and many other wines. read more

Mediocre sushi. Good service. If I hadn't been spoiled at Baba sushi then I probably would like it here.

Great service, great food! I have been here so many times and have NEVER had a bad experience! The food is always fresh and fast and the service is attentive and prompt! read more

Amazing Mai Tais,chicken/pork fried rice and sushis are very good as well. Service is okay. One of my favorite places in Worcester, for sure. read more

Sushi is very good, servers are friendly, been there numerous times since it opened and have not once been dissapointed. Recommend to all

No complaints about the food here. Been here a few times for pickup, have yet to be disappointed. Price might be a bit higher than what you are used to spending at an asian restaurant, however, the quality of the food is reflected for that margin. read more
