Seating is limited, but it feels cozy and intimate. The staff was outstanding from the greeter to the servers, friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The menu has a great variety, from ramen and teriyaki boxes to rice dishes and sushi. We started with the soft shell crab appetizer, which was incredibly fresh with a light, perfectly crisp tempura batter. For our main course, we went with a selection of sushi, and it was phenomenal. The fish was extremely fresh, served at the perfect temperature, and every flavor paired beautifully. One thing I really appreciated is they don't smother their sushi in sauces, they let the freshness and quality of the fish speak for itself, the way it should. Quite possibly the best sushi in town!!

Cons: It just didn't hit the mark with me. I ordered chicken karaage, two handrolls, and the tuna roll for dinner. The handrolls were probably the best bites of the night. I didn't care for the batter on the karaage nor the dipping sauce (sweet soy based sauce). Not what you would normally get when ordering karaage. The tuna roll was pretty inconsistent, with some pieces having giant chunks of tuna and nothing else while others had a huge chunk of avocado. It wasn't tightly rolled and the rice didn't taste seasoned. In fact, the more I think about it while looking at my photo, the more those disappointing feelings are coming back.

They're usually in the parking lot of a strip mall that is otherwise slightly ... unwelcoming, to put it politely. This meal was incredible. Birria is one of my favorites but it's a little hard to find due to how labor-intensive it is, so I was so happy to see their post on Facebook about serving birria! Then, when I was already planning to go soon, they advertised a truly irresistible special, two birria tacos and NOODLES IN BIRRIA CONSOMMÉ (!!!!!) for $8. I was overcome with excitement! When I pulled up, a few minutes before they opened, there were already half a dozen cars with people in them sitting and waiting for the window to open. That's an awesome sign. Ordering was quick and painless, they are still taking cash in these times. However, I was a little surprised that their listed prices didn't include tax- I've found that to be pretty standard for food trucks so that making change is simplified. All three of us got the same noodle/taco deal and it took about 25 minutes between ordering and receiving our food. A little slow for a good truck but not outrageously so, and I'm happy to wait for quality. Each meal came with extra lime wedges, radish, cilantro and onion, grilled onion quarter, and a grilled jalapeño. We drove home to eat so it wasn't piping hot by the time we got to it but the tacos were not soggy and everything was still delicious. The cup of noodles is maybe a 20 oz styrofoam and the tacos are standard taco size instead of tiny street taco so between these, we were all super full afterward. I couldn't be happier and I'm definitely coming back soon! Go with patience and go hungry!!

We sat down ordered a diet coke and some gyoza. We then ordered the saparo and the kirin platters One by one the plates came out. The salad and soup was tasty. But I avoided the lettuce and not anything about the restaurant but the times. Iykyk. Next the gyoza. Which was surprisingly a little crispy on one side. Very nice. Different by good. Then the meat. It was all delightful and we ordered to much. But ate all we could. Our waiter was spot on, didn't miss a beat.

Update review: Food…read morestill good. Ambiance still good. We just realized that you cannot order the habachi grill set for 2 unless it is happy hours and it wasnt stated on the menu. We pointed it out and the server asked his manager. Manager pointed out that fhe menu is stated that it was named happy hour. Suggest they specifically put that on the menu. That said food still tasted good and is fresh. Thank you Koen for saving us a few bucks. Because i picked a different dish.and our overall bill was reduced. However, i also noticed reduction in the sizes of the meal probably due to the economy. In my dolsot bibimbap, there was much lesser meat, much lesser vegetables than before. The proportion of rice appeared to have grown. Looks like other patrons have noticed too. Might be awhile before we came back. Be mindful- habachi grill menu allows for one person n three people to order. The one named happy hour for two ppl cannot be ordered until its happy hour. Feels like they are penalising couples who want to both have their habachi. Remember that and save some moolah!!!!

We tried their whole non alcoholic selection of drinks. I got the coco hydration and hubby got the hibiscus drink then the dragon fruit lemonade. We ordered fried calamari and it was fried with a light tempura like batter with salt and pepper. There were pieces of vegetables in it also deep fried in the same batter. - spring onions, peppers, sweet potato fries. These came alarmingly fast- and it was hot. Aint complaining.... it was fantastic Then we ordered sushi to share. We got the hawaiian roll, the iguana and the sake roll. They were all delicious - not in the traditional japanese sense but light on the stomach and delicious. The ambiance of the place is light and chill. On one side there is a sushi bar and on the other side; there are a variety of seating available- ie couches, tables and bar seating. Our server Ryleigh was also super friendly and personable. The manager also stopped by. The straws were paper straws but the manager quickly swopped them out for agave straws! Love this place and we will definitely be back.
