I really wanted to like this place. Service was slow, barely cordial, and not very helpful. I was one of two tables that afternoon, so 3 total customers, but the food still took 30 minutes to come out after I ordered. Since the food was so bland (see below) I asked for soy sauce. That took another 10 minutes to arrive. I ordered the Naruto Ramen, which they describe as "Pork broth, rice noodle, chashu chicken, beans sprouts, green onions, corn and bok choy. I estimate there was .5 of an ounce of chicken, which was just a plain, unseasoned single slice of white meat. It was definitely not chashu chicken, which is pressed, rolled, seasoned and steamed or simmered. There were about 4 bean sprouts, 3 tiny slices of onion, and no bok choy. There was about an ounce of corn and about a half a package worth of ramen. The broth was the biggest disappointment. It had almost no flavor at all....no salt, no seasoning, no meat flavor. There was nothing savory or satisfying to it at all. The bowl was about room temperature. The broth tasted almost like lukewarm water had been poured into the bowl to clean some leftovers. The prices are shockingly high for this kind of food. A ramen bar is supposed to be fast, reasonably priced, and satisfying. The one bright spot of my meal were the tiny spring rolls they offered that afternoon as a special for half off. They were warm and crispy at least. Some sort of sauce would have been pleasant to accompany it. It's a nice location and offers outdoor seating. It's a pleasant environment. I wish it were better food....even mediocre food. Want WAY better tasting ramen downtown? Go to Snack Korner and make your own customized meal at their DIY ramen bar. read more

My boyfriend took me here for the first time when I first visited Nebraska, and it was amazing. Lately the food has not been as good as it has been in the past. The noodles were chewy and rubbery. The egg did not have much flavor and the broth was watery. The portion size has also gotten significantly smaller. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a little odd, but endearing. The lighting at our table was bright fluorescent compared to the dim soft lighting of the rest of the restaurant, so the entire time we ate, it felt like we were under an interrogation spotlight because our light was the only one that was so bright. The ramen was just okay. The chicken was extremely dry but at least the broth was flavorful. The ramen is definitely nothing special and I don't think I'd get it again. The only thing worth getting are the bao buns. The bao is so pillowy and soft, the bread is melt in your mouth, and the meat is super juicy and flavorful. Overall still a fun experience but definitely not a first choice if you're craving ramen. read more

I wanted to love it, I really did. My daughter wanted ramen and I also, love ramen. Since we were staying at a hotel nearby we came for dinner. We were immediately greeted and taken to a table. We had an idea of what we wanted so we placed our order relatively quickly. My daughter and I ordered tonkotsu ramen, my husband shoyu ramen, and my son chicken fried rice. The tonkatsu wasn't rich and creamy. It tasted more like shoyu. The meat was dry. When I tried my husband's ramen...I don't know what I was tasting, but it was not shoyu ramen. Service was great. Slow night but I enjoyed the Tonkatsu with Chashu Pork, I added the mayu black garlic oil and bean sprouts. My wife had the stir fry ramen with Chashu pork, extra half egg, side of samba chili sauce and kimchi. My Ramen was solid traditional Japanese ramen broth. Nothing fancy but if this is the consistent taste then you can't go wrong on a cold night. The Samba chili sauce didn't add the kick my wife and I both were looking for but still tasty. Took my little guy for his first real Ramen trip, and he loved it. I know I have reviewed this before but I just wanted to shout out the server. She was very patient with us and helped to make decisions so that it would be child friendly. I ordered the Ramen I wanted for me and then you can get extra noodles for $1.50. It all comes in one bowl, but I just scooped some noodles out for him. I also ended up getting a side of steamed rice because he wanted to try that too. We had a really great experience! Lincoln has very limited options for Ramen, which is a bummer but Itsumo is pretty good albeit it gets a little pricy before you know it if you start customizing your ramen. They do offer a combination ramen that has all the meats (see pic) which is probably worth the extra $2 dollars. Instead, a sparse sprinkling of ultra minute rounds of undetectable flavor. Nori? Nope. No one put in the nori. Flavor in the broth? Nope. Someone forgot to put in the flavor. I even ordered extra crushed raw garlic and blandness ensued. My partners $20 deluxe tonkatsu had zero veggies. It said it should have bean sprout and bamboo shoot. I guess when you add $5 more for 3 pieces of chicken and a few tablespoons of ground pork, adding in a bit of green veggie is too much to ask for. After we salted both our bowls and added some of our own chili oil, it had a little flavor but at that point, what are we paying for? Noodle, a half egg, weak sauce and meat. I guess some people are happy with that? It's just not that hard to make food taste good and even look good. This town is circling the porcelain bowl when it comes to eating out. One of our favorite ramen places to go! We love getting their spicy edamame and shrimp shumai! We always get the miso ramen and I get it with chicken. The tame. Portions are large and the broth is delicious. The extra add ins slides or veggies are cheap and enhance the flavor. I always love mixing it up with those, The atmosphere is relaxing and we always get great service and the food comes quick! A fun and easy date night spot. read more

Stoped here on an overnight trip for work and wow! The waitress was so kind and when I asked for a suggestion she lead me to the tantan tofu and woah! I'm not usually a peanut sauce person but am so happy I followed the suggestion it was a subtle flavor of peanut in the best way and the fermented cabbage complimented the broth so much! Big L. This place took over the other ramen place that was absolutely horrific and they did improve the broth. There weren't that many ingredients though and it felt really scarce. The service was really annoying too - I was ignored for the majority of it and the waitress watched me as I put in her tip so I felt obligated to tip more than I wanted. The food was not bad, and it was a decent price, especially for center-city. I went to Itsumo with a group of eight at a quiet time. There were only two others in the restaurant when we entered. I ordered a $12 dish. When the time came to pay, I was told I owed $15.47. I assumed that the menu was outdated and reluctantly paid the full bill. When I received my receipt back *after* the transaction, it reported an 18% automatic gratuity fee added onto my charge. I was not notified and nowhere on the menu was a large-party fee described. My entire group was planning on tipping 15-25%. This is unethical business practice and I felt cheated out of my money. I will not be returning. read more

The food was pretty bland and mediocre. I would have just chalked it up to not being my jam but I'm actually leaving a review because the service here was infuriating. When we came in, there was one other couple in the entire restaurant and for some reason the guy put us at a table directly next to them less than 3 feet between us. The awkward tension was palpable and the couple ended up asking to move because it was weird as we were basically interrupting their conversation. Also Covid is a thing still. Once they moved the waiter got them waters and took their order and then went right back to stand at the greeting stand to play on his phone. We had to call him over and ask to get water and order our food. After he brought out our food it was time for him to focus on eating his dinner at the front and ignore us and our empty water glasses. When we were ready to pay and leave we had to flag him down again. They do not provide an itemized receipt but bring over a handheld card reader and then hover over you as you fill out a tip form and a thumbs up/down survey thing. read more

This place was great! From the friendly staff to the flavorful food! I had the tan tan man ramen with pork belly and I added chili oil to it for a little kick of spice. I also got the cucumber lemonade which was very refreshing, and I would recommend it to anyone. The portions were good given the price I had enough to take home for another meal which is always a plus. The broth was so good down to the last drop! They have the best ramen and gyoza i have had since I returned from Japan a year and a half ago. Very authentic! I highly recommend it!
