We had already started the process of building our new home, so we recruited The Franklin Team to assist with selling our previous home and guiding us through the closing of our new home. Because of this, I believe that we were treated as nothing more than easy commission from the start. We first worked with Kirsten on the selling end, who was slow to communicate and did not take the time to explain any of the documents she sent. Phone calls only happened when we requested them, as she otherwise relied on brief texts with minimal updates. She also did not provide any professional insight on the offers we received unless asked directly. Our home did sell, so she was effective in that regard, but the lack of initiative and guidance was discouraging. Afterward, we were handed off to Sarah Savard (the co-owner of the company) for our new build purchase. After receiving an introductory text, we heard nothing for two months. It wasn't until we reached out, only two weeks before closing, to voice our disappointment in the lack of communication and request a phone call, that we finally heard from her. During this conversation, she expressed that she did not know when our closing was (it was in 2 weeks) and, once we informed her, she said that there may not be enough time to apply the commission from our previous home to our new home closing. She also advised against getting an independent inspection, which was shocking and concerning. After this phone call, we once again received radio silence. Sarah was also, unsurprisingly, not present for our closing. She instead sent a stranger who arrived almost an hour late, did not introduce herself, and signed for Sarah's commission. To make matters worse, after closing we unexpectedly received a DocuSign from the team requesting a 3% commission adjustment, with no explanation or communication, which further highlights their lack of communication and professionalism. After our closing, we received no communication or congratulations from Sarah. This whole experience has been a huge slap in the face. The lack of communication, guidance, and professionalism was a complete letdown. Based on our experience, I could never recommend The Franklin Team.

I said I would rather not move out of the community here but would like to try to stay here... Ling story short he says other space not good for timeline, then helps neighboring doctor who I got them connected, into the spot I wanted right from under me feet... very unethical and out for how he can get most money out of the deal.... look elsewhere for broker....

Just about as nice as a Perry home but for $80k less money. We have lived in our home for 6 months now and have had no major issues and for that matter no minor issues either. There were some finishing issues but Chris was very fast at getting it taken care of in short order. For example we over looked where they painted a wall and the painters had missed a spot. Just a couple little things like that. Like I said we have been in this home for 6 months and we just love it and love the area and the size of it for the price was great it was what actually sealed the deal. Note we got a VA lone on our home which anyone who has dealt with a VA lone before will attest it can be a headache. Needless to say from contract signing to closing was only 3 weeks 21 days (we used Quicken loans) Thanks Leckhampton Homes we love it so much!

In addition, they don't hold property owners accountable to maintain their lawns etc. They also charge outrageous fees when you sale your property in this poorly run community. The initial investment was great, but sadly they're not maintaining the investment they've made in the amenities. Examples are the poor maintenance of the gym equipment (bikes, A/V equipment in the gym, weights, pools, etc). I'm so glad to have sold the house in cane island. I loved the house, but not cane island.

Amazing new master planned community in the heart of Katy,TX…read more We are very happy with the location and the whole vibe of the community (very friendly and beautiful). It will be awesome once completed. We were lucky enough to get in early. I believe the amenity center (which looks amazing) will be done in november. If you access the cane island website through a mobile device, you can see which homes are sold and which are available. There are lots of other cane island homeowners like us who drive through the community whenever we get a chance because it is amazing to see all the progress. We see lots of Katy Police officers driving through as well, which adds some comfort. The living arches at the entrance way light up at night and change colors (so cool). They have also had a taco truck come out and a lobster truck come out recently. The tax rate is high but worth it, in my opinion! Other news: One of the playgrounds is going up, the splashpad and amenity center are going up, the sidewalks around the lakes are finished (mostly), light posts are going up.

So they are good part of the Houston real estate community, and the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because pricing of rentals for the places that they build, which is way too expensive for the Houston market in my uneducated opinion. But people are willing to pay it so what can I say.
