We were impressed by the size of the facility, and all the different displays and the number of selections we had to look at. We were approached by an employee (Brianna Pflug) who offered her assistance and asked what the reason for our visit was. I was blown away by her knowledge and was so excited to see how engaged my son was, who normally is very quiet, and doesn't talk much. They went back and forth asking questions and reviewed some of his pictures, which gave her a good assessment of his skill level. She offered some suggestions on how he can improve the quality of his photos. Brianna did inform us that they did offer a series of classes at that location which turned out to be the perfect birthday gift for him from my Mom. The visit went so well, that when it came time for my son to purchase a new lens, he made sure that we were going to Unique Photo and wanted to deal with only Brianna. Brianna had suggested a pre-owned Sigma 70-200mm lens that was in his price range that he ended up testing and loved. My son was the one paying for the lens, and to be honest, I did find an identical one cheaper online, but he insisted we purchased from your place, and most importantly, from Brianna. For a 16 year old boy to pass on saving some money that he earned by cutting peoples lawn over the summer tells you a lot. You have a customer for life in my son, and Brianna to thank. She took the time to listen, she learned what our purpose was, engaged and offered suggestions, and followed up with me via email afterwards when I had some questions on how to book the class. Everyone I encountered there was very friendly, which I found very refreshing. I manage a hotel and can tell you that I have shared my experience with my team in our staff meeting as an example of someone providing exceptional customer service. Brianna introduced us to Ryan, the rental manager, on our way out. Ryan noticed a smug on my son's camera which he worked some magic and took care of it right away. The care he put into doing so was like he was doing it for a family member, and I appreciate him for doing so very much. Thank you for allowing me to share my experience and thank you to Brianna for everything she has done for my son. I see a spark in his eye when he gets behind that camera, something that I haven't seen in some time and have her to thank for that. He spent the weekend shovels snow and has asked if we can return so he can pick up some accessories. I am looking forward to returning and hope to get there this weekend. I rushed as I had only a short window before they close on Saturday. Sufficient to say I have many film cameras and all are in working order, I need not to get a repair but service sounded a good idea to me as all are more than 30 years old products. I understand that they had a larger business, now downsized to an upstairs one room office( next to Samba restaurant- you will buzz and they open the door) and this "could be Chinese- American" couple is past retirement, still continuing the business, which is actually fantastic. The lady on counter had an unfriendly but business like demeanor, with one response to any query, " leave the camera and technician will look at it and call you back" I said, there is nothing wrong but if the gentleman or " technician" who was in the side small room could take a look and comment. Same response" leave the camera and technician will look at it and call you back". I was disappointed as I came with a very enthusiastic expectation, since how many times can you find some one who knows about film cameras. the store was unkempt, did not see worthy ware or stuff, seems like they are keeping busy themselves for reasons known to them. I took back all 4 cameras rather than leaving with them. Single camera inspection is $30.00 multiple cameras would be $20.00 per camera. I saw some reviews here which are dated and one review that was from this year, I guess after downsizing. I hope my experience was one off and others who continue to patronize them get fair value of charges in terms of service and satisfaction. I was recommended by another business, which I do not want to name here, but I will tell that business about my experience so as to bring them up to speed. I still had a nice time in this town, I walked around, did some street photography, it seemed like a good old town with thriving economy. Please remember, I did not use any service from this store but my interaction with them could have been better. I would continue to look for a good place and if I come across, I would update it here.

The quality of the photos are top notch, there are many ways to get your pictures to him for printing; you can bring them in if you want copies made, he offers his email or you can take a portable drive with your photos and he will upload and print them for you. His prices are very good, you can get them cheaper at places like cvs or Costco but they do not give the personal attention to detail that he gives at mr. photo. The makeup area is big and light and very comfortable. The lighting gear all works and is well maintained. The staff rocks! Suzie assisted on our shoot and she's practically a secret weapon. She knows her stuff, is usually at least one step ahead and never gets in the way. I cannot wait to shoot at the Photocoop again.
