Biscuits were definitely not homemade. Prices were fair and portions were generous. Service was fast, even though they were packed! Loved the old country kitchen feel!

Today after breakfast, I decided to treat my son to one of their $20 squishy sadly after we got in the car we realize it had Holes and hair it was used and it was popped. I called them to try to make it right they told me to come exchange it then another- person called me back and told me they couldn't honor that so I came back in the store and when I walked in, I saw the owner and the same girl who called me run to the back of kitchen and hide from the conversation when I went to exchange the squishy, a man told me I could do that, and then another woman came out and told me I couldn't while the owner hid in the back of the kitchen the entire time. Miss Shirley. I'm very heartbroken about this Miss Shirley you should be better. I sat there and cried with you when your husband died and my dad died in the same month. I've come here since I was a child and you just ruined this all over a $20 squishy you preach about the Lord but you did the exact opposite you ran away when a child was in need and you ruined your business over this. I will make sure everybody in here knows about this. I am devasted by the actions of country skillet. Your husband and my dad are in heaven ASHAMED of the actions by country skillet today. What used to be known as a place of a good memory is now tarnish over a damn squishy.

The food and coffee was so delicious. I wouldn't say I'm a food snob, but I'm particular about breakfast foods, and this made me very happy. We each ordered a coffee and the bacon potatoes to share. I ordered the Juniper Benedict and my friend ordered the loaded biscuits and gravy. The bacon potatoes were cooked perfectly, soft and slightly crunchy with plenty of cheese and bacon. The eggs in my eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and they used a regular house-made biscuit that soaked up the egg yolks perfectly. The restaurant was pretty big, but the ambiance felt like a small-town diner. The staff was super kind and attentive, too. The cost is par for the course for a nice diner in a big city. TLDR: Not a bad word to say about this place.

We love the omelets, the sausage breakfast sandwiches, the pancakes, and the cinnamon rolls! We also love the small eclectic atmosphere and ambiance- it truly feels like a neighborhood favorite place to gather.

Before we could enter the restaurant, however, we had to wade through all the smokers littering the entrance. Cough! We sat down at a table we chose along the perimeter across from the band. I wish I knew the name of the band, but it was a 3 piece band with a female singer, her son on the guitar, and another guy playing drums. They were good. She sang a song she wrote called the Delta. Great lyrics! My husband and I both ordered the French toast with a hash brown on the side. It took forever and honestly, I was getting a little concerned about all the people who kept coming in and out from outside and into what seemed the kitchen area. Our food arrived and it had great presentation and generous portions. Real French bread used! It was very good! After our meal, the female band leader as well as the owner of the restaurant came over to chat. Very friendly and nice conversation with all. Sadly, when we arrived home from our long drive, let's just say, the food did not sit well in our stomach. It was the only meal we had before arriving home. Another restaurant meal I have to pray was prepared with love.
