We are from Lakeland TN and were in the MS area shopping today. We saw great reviews about this ice…read morecream shop and decided to give it a try. It is a rather large place for an ice cream shop and it was HOPPING when we stopped in on Saturday night. It was so busy that the larger parking lot was full and people were parking at a nearby bank that was closed for the evening. They make all of their ice cream in house and also make homemade waffle bowls. Sadly they were out of the waffle bowls so we didn't get a chance to try those. I decided on the coconut brown sugar and it did not disappoint. It was super tasty with the perfect amount of coconut flakes. You heard me, it has actual coconut flakes instead of just having coconut flavor. That's a sign of some true homemade ice cream. My husband had the salted caramel and was enjoying it so much that I had to take a bite. It was divine as well...not your average bland caramel at all. It was super rich and tasty. Definitely give them a try if you are ever in the area. The staff were super nice and they were happy to help. They also sell pints for you to take home and enjoy some more of their tasty ice cream!

Apparently everything is made in house and locally sourced. I've heard they have a blackberry goat cheese at some point during the season I'm sad I only get to this area once a year but any flavor is worth it to me!!

What's that old saying of old, "Ice cream, ice cream, we all scream for ice cream". I stumbled…read moreupon this ice cream shop while just perusing the neighborhood close to my hotel. Okay, I know I've said in the past that I'm not a sweet person, which is true. However, ice cream is in a category by itself. For all the nutritionists, doctors, health-conscious people, and the like, please forgive me for what I'm about to say: in a perfect world, I could eat ice cream over food. Yes, I said it and am not taking it back. Yes, I'm aware that it would not be advantageous for my health and possibly cause my early demise. But it's so good and brings me such joy, which is probably good that I did not see this place until the last day of my stay in the area. I was told that they change the favors frequently, so if you don't see something that you would like, no fear; daily change is here. But you won't know if you don't go. Hey, you like the rhyme; lol. So many flavors, so many different toppings, it was hard to choose. Everything not only looked fresh, but the ones I did choose were fresh as well. (No, I'm not saying how many and which ones; I don't want anyone judging me. I watched two children's faces light up when their grandparents opened the door to the shop; it was as if they floated to the ice cream bar. The staff was super friendly and informative about the flavors. It was a clean and wholesome atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and check them out. You will be glad that you did. BTW, I got a cup with some chocolate and vanilla ice cream with a waffle cone, almonds, and a little hot fudge. So, good...everything in moderation.

You have the option is sitting inside or take out. We chose to walk on the track across the street since it was nice and breezy outside. They have so many selection including toppings to pick from!

Samoas ice cream. Just like the cookie, except without the random guilt trip from a little kid outside Walmart giving you the hard sell while you're trying to buy meal-prep chicken for the week. And yes, I realize I just compared buying ice cream to avoiding Girl Scouts. Stay focused. The ice cream here is just ridiculously good. Great flavors, great texture, and exactly what you want after dinner, before dinner, or honestly whenever you happen to be walking around the Square and decide calories don't count in Oxford. The Samoas flavor is the standout for me, but this is one of those places where you could probably order almost anything and be happy. Oxford has plenty of great places to eat, but every trip here should either start or end at Oxford Creamery. Preferably both.

The Oxford creamery is a quaint little spot that has an old school southern vibe. We saw My Big Fat Greek wedding as a menu item so we obviously had to go with a large order of that in a waffle cone bowl. My big fat Greek wedding was absolutely decadent and delicious. This item is an absolute must try, with pistachio and baklava and honey and vanilla ice cream, this treat is a 10/10. The Oxford creamery knocks it out of the park with this desert. An absolute delicious treat. Truly magnificent. Stop in to see the friendly staff and tray a tasty treat while you're there.
