So happy to find this gem. When we moved our kid to U of G a few years ago, I had lamented that it…read morewas just too bad there wasn't a nice yarn store. Well, here it is!! Super helpful owner, and friendly. I witnessed her helping a few customers with their patterns and yarn choices. Excellent yarn selection, a good mix of really dependable and affordable yarns (think Estelle) and some really yummy decadent yarns (think Rowan). Also an incredible selection of ChiaoGoo needles (other needles too, but I have been looking to add to my chiaogoo). I am delighted to find a well stocked, well curated store like this one and hope to pop in again when I visit the kid, or when I find myself in downtown Guelph.

Taylor's was an absolutely wonderful experience. I went to a few places and by far the best…read moreexperience was with Taylor's. My consultant was wonderful and put me In a dress I would never have looked at and it ended up being the one! Unlike most places they care about their dresses and as a result you have to remove your shoes and wipe your hands. But I can't tell you how much that puts my mind at ease when I'm trying on MY dress for fittings. I don't have to worry about anyone's mess ruining my dress. Linda was fantastic, makes you feel like a million dollars. My wedding is just two weeks away and I went for my final fitting and I couldn't be happier. The prices are reasonable and the alterations, which were fantastic, were reasonable as well. Highly recommend Taylor's!

After reading all the reviews about Taylor's, I decided to make the trek to Elmira. I brought my…read morefiance with me and the associates were fairly surprised (they tend to encounter brides who go shopping with their all-female bridal party) but they were good natured about it. Dresses are in excellent condition and there is a huge selection. Before touching the dresses, we had to wipe our hands with disposable baby wipes so we don't dirty up the dresses. Taylor's carried dresses from quite a few different designers. There was a good mixture of me picking out a few dresses and the associate picking out ones similar to what I liked. I had over 10 dresses to try on and the associate, Mary-Jo was extremely patient and helpful. She even provided tips for the wedding day as she was lacing up the corset back in the fitting room! Prices were on the dresses ($1000-$3000) and they store/steam the dress before you take it home. The service was absolutely phenomenal and of all 15 different boutiques I visited across the GTA, this one was aobsulutely the best. I found my dress here, although I didn't buy it. I needed my mom and sister to see it before I bought it and the location was too far from the GTA. I would definitely recommend Taylor's to any bride.

The entire place is screaming with cheap clothes and yet decent design. It's an outlet store that carry small sizes (outlet stores seem to run out of small sizes all the time). I paid 80 bucks for a bag worth of clothing. Not too bad to pass the time huh? I stopped here on my way back to Toronto after a meeting. Staff were friendly. And pretty. Very pretty. There is no fitting room so you have to be sure of what you're buying. There is a mirror (yes, one mirror) close to the counter if you want to check if the clothes match your skin tone. This is a no frill shop with decent clothes. Don't tell my friends I shopped here. I want to keep the secret to myself.

Writing this review with regard to the customer service. Around Christmas, my mother decided to buy…read moreme a Costco gift card, as I often buy movies and gas there. After a whirlwind of shopping, Mom got home with the intent of wrapping gifts, but found no more to the gift card than its receipt. Panicked, she searched high and low for it, to no satisfaction. Her conclusion was that it must have fallen out of her purse on the way back to her car. As we celebrate Christmas a little late due to work schedules, Mom returned to Costco on Boxing Day (brave woman) and explained her predicament to Renée and Abraham, at the verge of tears at points. The two of them worked diligently to track the purchase of the card and to see if there were any purchases made with it. Luckily, there hadn't been, and Abraham informed my mother that he would coordinate everything to make sure she could get a new gift card; it would take a couple of days, since it had to go through head office in Ottawa, but he would keep in touch. In the meantime, the original card turned up (wrapped and under the tree...no idea how it got there!), and the day after we found it, Mom received a message on her voicemail from Abraham letting her know head office had done its thing and a new card was waiting for her. She showed up the next day and Abraham was there, and though he was helping some other folks as well, he made his way over to my mother to make sure everything had worked out. She's seen Abraham a few times since, and he's given a smile and a wave to my mother each time. Abraham and Renée are credits to the Costco corporation, which has set (and exceeded) some pretty high standards for customer service. Kudos to them both.

I used the auto tire service for the first time. I chose Guelph over the Kitchener location…read morebecause Kitchener is just a Kazoo. I checked in 1 hr before my 3pm appointment and was advised about 1.5hr, if someone's late for their appointment they will just slot me in. Right at 3:30 I did get my call to pick up my keys. Here is the tragic moment, I was 3rd or 4th in line to pick up my keys...and it took 35min for me to get to the service desk, behind me was a queue of 8-10 people. For some reason they only had two people assisting customers and the two people were running every customer in order that they arrive except if you had an appointment to drop off you could skip the queue. I hope this location considers changing up priorities, maybe dedicating one person to do the appointment sign up and tire purchase, while the other person is for intake and outgoing customers who simply need to drop off keys or pick up. Then second person can step in and do transactions if no queue. Overall there seems to be a lack of team work behind the counter. My struggle was the time and my senior parent was with me- I would have left my senior parent sitting in the food service area if we knew it would take SO LONG. As a bonus, the shop does note the tread condition for the tires they remove and store in your car so you know how it is and when you need to change it. I got brand new summer tires on May 2, they were able to pull my winter tires off, pull the rim from my summer in my trunk and load it up, balance and the works- and load my winters in- so basically a tire change with my purchase. It's appreciated. My experience may have been also associated with a Saturday visit- I guess if I went on a weekday during business hours my experience might be very different.

The location had some seasonal options, though I find it lacks the cocktail dress selection some mall location have. I do prefer Guess because they have the Asian petite fit for cocktail dresses-the north American Small rarely fit and I have to squeeze into an XXS which can be hit and miss. I bought 2020 some really awesome wedges, the clearance for footwear is abundant but style selection limited. So it's a hit and miss for me.
