With our venues in mind (our local public park for the ceremony, a patio at our HOA's community center for the reception, and an after party at our home) and only 6 months until our selected wedding date, we went to Leilani Social to ask if they could help us make it happen. Kim was assigned as our coordinator, and took the challenge in stride. Another team member worked with us and Kim as a designer, and soon they helped us develop a cohesive vision and start thinking about the logistics, securing vendors, and making the many dozens of small but critical decisions to make our wedding day feel like us. Kim met with us many times leading up to the wedding date, coordinated all of the vendor communications by email, and always made time to address our questions and concerns--no detail was too small. She helped coach us through selecting rentals and the minute-by-minute plan for the day, and when we needed to pivot last minute to doing DIY flowers to save money, she supported us through that, too! This review would end up the length of a novel if I tried to cover everything, but just to give a couple examples: Kim helped us design custom drink menus for our reception, found alternatives for glassware and decor when we found out we couldn't have glass or open flame at our venue, and made sure we got a refund from our rental company for the few small items that were missing (which we of course, never even knew about because the Leilani Squad just handled it!). The day before the wedding, Kim met with us and our bridal party to run an efficient and helpful rehearsal, exuding competence and kindness while making sure everyone was ready for the next day. On the wedding day, four amazing Leilani Social team members were present to make it all happen. My day as bride started with a sound bath hosted by one of Leilani's wellness vendors (the wonderful Stephanie with Soul Sounds Alchemy) for myself and my bridesmaids. To be completely honest, I was a bit skeptical at first (especially since it meant we'd have to start our day earlier) but it ended up being so lovely and grounding (thank you, Danielle and Stephanie!). My "lady-in-waiting," Lulu, was amazing, and she spent the whole morning with us, keeping us on track time-wise and helping with all of the little things that came up, like steaming the skirt of my dress. Kim worked tirelessly to transform our blank canvas venues into the magical settings we had envisioned together for ceremony and reception. Arriving at the spaces and seeing our vision realized was an amazing experience. But as bride and groom, our hope was to truly be in the moment and enjoy the day, and Kim, Danielle, and the rest of the Leilani Squad made that possible. Horrible experience, stay away!…read more This is a review for Eliza at BEL Events for her wedding planning services. We met Eliza at our venue 8 month before our wedding date. During the first session she presented herself well, and she talked and bragged a lot about her 18 yrs of experience in event planning and stories about how she handles wedding situations. So, we thought she is the right event planner for us and signed a contract. After signing the contract and making the payment, she was very hard to find and we did not see the expected action from her side, and every time we followed up, her response was: "don't worry I will manage everything before the wedding day". We were asking for the basics of planning such as timeline, vendor recommendations (a few to choose from) and communications (which was part of the contract) but not no action except a quote of her own rental service. We were getting closer to the wedding date and her lack of action made us so worried and very frustrated. Eventually we had to get involved and did almost 90% of the work ourselves. She was very hard to find but even when we could talk to her, she would create more unnecessary problems to an extant that my wife had panic attacks after a few meetings we had with her. 2 month before our wedding she caused so much anxiety and frustration that we decided to end our contract with her and find another planner. Thankfully, our new planner was amazing and our Wedding planning went very smooth after that, and the event was as wonderful as we could imagine! With way lower cost than what Eliza had proposed! After I requested to cancel the contract she disappeared and never responded to our emails, which is very unprofessional. Here is a list of a few issues from our experience of working with here: 1- Accessibility: every time we had a question or needed to talk to her, it was taking several days until she gets back to us. With irrelevant excuses, like she would show me her busy google calendar! 2- Push to use her own services as vendors: Per her contract she had to suggest different vendors so we can choose. But since she has rental and flower services, she was arguing so much to stop us from even looking at other options! She charges unnecessarily expensive! By doing a little research, we found our vendors and saved at least 50% with same or better quality! 3- Nonsense arguments and rude attitude: In many occasions she was just insisting on holding the event the way SHE wants, without paying attention to our request or desire. Every time we requested something, her answer was: "I don't want MY event to be that way or I don't want MY guests to be that way"!!! With a condescending attitude emphasizing that "I have 18 yrs of experience and I know what to do"!!! Any simple request would become a long story and unnecessary argument. In one occasion my wife requested that guests throw flower petals while walking out of aisle, and she immediately said: "No!, you can't do that, I don't want my cleaning crew spend time on cleaning the petals"!!!! In another occasion Eliza was insisting on only using her recommended valet service (which was quoting more than double the price of the service we eventually used) and on top of it she was forcing us to rent extra parking lot out of venue and pay extra for shuttle service!!!! While the venue had enough capacity! And when I respectfully said: I am confident that the venue has enough capacity for parking, she got very angry and said: "in that case tell all your guests to use UBER and they can't drive their own car"!!! It was a nightmare working with BEL Events and I don't recommend her service due to lack of professionalism and decency in her business.

Khatereh set up a meeting with myself and my bridal party and helped outline our wedding from beginning to end 3 months prior to the wedding date. Which was an immense relief for me, because I planning the wedding remotely and Khatereh was able to work with my matron of honor locally to take care of all the details. From that initial meeting she was organized and had a well developed plan with things we would need to do prior to the wedding. She took into account details that we would need to provide for the photographer, DJ, and wedding designer in order to have the day go off without a hitch. I cannot stress how professional and detail oriented she was. She coordinated or first walk through and rehearsal prior to the wedding. She managed every detail of the wedding with the hotel staff and our separate staff for outside services. She also set up separate meetings with our officiant, photographer, and DJ in order to make sure everyone was on the same page. On the day of the wedding Khatereh and her assistant, Melika, took the reins in making sure everything went smoothly . In addition to taking care of logistics ( timeline for the day, assisting with securing wedding gifts given after the ceremony, and family pictures) Khatereh and her assistant were so attentive to my husband and I. They both constantly checked in on us to make sure we were okay, happy, and had eaten. They treated us more like family than clients and that made all the difference. Khatereh's attention to detail, organization, and professionalism were outstanding, but the way her and her assistant made my husband and I feel on the day of the wedding is why I can so strongly recommend her company's services to other brides. Though we didn't book Cindy for our ceremony (our venue came with one), she did drop by at the end of the ceremony just to transfer the flowers to the reception, and even then, one thing stood out to me--I was getting my group photo taken and Cindy quickly went up to fix my dress that I knew wasn't laying down properly. It is exactly the little things like this that I seek from a coordinator--to be looked out for!! All in all, my husband and I both felt entirely taken care of during our reception. Our only regret is not having her for our ceremony also. Selfishly, I wished that Cindy charges by the hour and not by separate venues so that I could've had her for both ceremony and reception since my reception itself was pretty short. The flowers exceeded anything I could have imagined and brought our vision to life perfectly. Every arrangement was elegant, timeless, and beautifully designed. One of my favorite details from the entire day was my bouquet. It was absolutely beautiful, and even now I still find myself looking at it and smiling. It perfectly captured everything I had hoped for and is such a special reminder of our wedding day. Beyond her incredible talent, Cindy is simply a wonderful person.
