These guys are really good! Efficient, clean cabs, and easy to find. Took 2 different routes coming from and to the airport but the cost was the same (I was a little worried - all for not). Drivers were super friendly. Cabs are hunkered in at the airport and also at the Delta Grand...so easy to find (especially if you're at the Delta). Would definitely use again! read more

I have used this company multiple times and have never written a review about them before, but this experience was bad enough that I felt like I needed to. I'm a young university student who recently moved to the area, and I was charged $43 for a ride from UBCO to Lake Country. I have taken this same/similar trip with this exact company before and have never paid more than around $20, so naturally I called to ask why the price had suddenly more than doubled and whether anything could be done about the charge. The woman I spoke with was unbelievably rude and condescending. She actually told me I was "crazy" to think the ride would ever be that cheap. Except it HAS been that cheap--with this company. That is literally why I was questioning the charge. I completely understand that gas is expensive and prices can change. What I don't understand is how a ride I have previously paid around $20 for suddenly costs $43 without a reasonable explanation, and then I'm treated like I'm stupid or "crazy" for asking about it. What made this particularly upsetting is that I wasn't taking a cab for fun. I was not feeling well and needed transportation to get to my aunt's home. I'm a student living in a new town without the same support system I have at home, so being able to rely on transportation when I need it is important to me. Instead of showing even basic understanding or calmly explaining the fare, she spoke down to me and then hung up on me while I was still trying to resolve the issue. As a university student, an unexpected extra $20+ matters. I wasn't demanding an unreasonable discount--I was asking why I had been charged more than twice what I had previously paid for the same/similar trip with the same company. The $43 fare was frustrating, but the way I was treated afterward was far worse. There was absolutely no need to belittle a customer for questioning a charge and then hang up on them. After this experience, I have no interest in using this company again. read more

After being put on hold for 10 minutes, I was disconnected. I wasn't willing to call back again and went to another company.

I've been using Kelowna cabs for 3 years now and don't have a bad thing to say about any of the drivers. Always fast and friendly service just good all around people I'll always use this cab company read more

Absolutely terrible experience! I called them for a taxi when I was downtown by the Cactus Club and they said there would be 10 to 15 minutes and after half an hour I called them again and they said they would be there shortly. Twenty minutes later I called again and they said that my driver had picked up somebody else instead. I asked why they would do that and they said the drivers do that sometimes. I asked what about me when I had booked one, and had no answer for me he just chuckled. So then I called another Taxi company who was there in 5 minutes. I would never use Kelowna Cabs again they certainly don't care about the customers and the customer service is pathetic. read more

Great experience with this company! I used them numerous times, never got disappointed. I highly recommend it. read more

They must be the most incompetent people in business. Made a reservation, and checked back and they can't find it. Made a new reservation... then checked, they can't find it again. No reservation. THREE times and all screwed up. Three strikes and you are out. Worst ever. read more

This is negative++ star! I booked a wheelchair cab at 8:47pm on Mother's day to pick up my 95 yr old Mom who is in a w/c & has a broken arm to return her back to her care home. We were told 1/2 hr, but we waited outside for 1 hr, then I called Kelowna cabs only to be told it would be 45 min longer - we waited, but then the driver called to say he would be 22 min longer!! Then Dispatch called to ask for prepayment on Visa? , which I already explained she has a Handy Pass! It was 1030pm now & chilly & my mom had to wait outside, Only receive a 6th phone call from Dispatch at 10:47 PM to advise us the cab was Cancelled!!!! for my 95 yr old mom in a wheelchair. This was Unsafe, Unacceptable, Unprofessional, and Kelowna cabs needs to be held Accountable for any situation like this involving a Senior and/or Wheelchair Customer! I agree with all the reviews, as this is the worst Kelowna Cabs experience ever, not to mention on Mother's day for a 95 year old senior in a wheelchair! BP read more

Was hesitant to call this company because of low ratings, but after sitting on hold for two other companies I gave them a try. I am so glad I did! The service was excellent! They arrived quicker than expected for both the outbound ride and the inbound ride. The drivers were very pleasant and the cars were ultra clean. Will definitely be calling Kelowna Cabs again. read more

The cab service is fine but the dispatcher service has been very rude with me on the phone multiple times in a row. For instance today I was told I needed to give my apartment unit number rather then just my building address. I had never been asked this before by kelowna cabs and when I explained the driver would not be able to buzz in my apartment as we do not have this feature the caller was very rude and said he had to make the driver think he could. When I gave him the apartment number he replied "that's weird are you sure" I was like ya I'm pretty sure I know where I live thanks. I am so unsure of why he was so shocked and untrusting of my apartment number or why he needed it so much but this was by far the Weirdest experience with them yet but incredibly rude and will be considering a new cab service for my next trip most definitely. read more

Good prompt service. However on the outgoing trip, as a first time user of the app, I asked the driver if the charge would go on my credit card on file or should I pay cash. He said either so I paid cash. Fare was $8.10 and we gave $12 (a generous tip) but when I later checked my credit card the charge had gone through. On the return trip I tried to pay cash again but the driver (honestly this time) said it had gone through on my credit card. The second driver was personable and a credit to the company unlike the first driver. read more

Never arrived. When I called was treated extremely unprofessionally. Will not use due to failure to arrive and very unprofessional person on the phone. Worst taxi experience I have ever experienced. read more

Rudest service ever. If you have to call a dispatcher don't expect them to be helpful or understanding. They are very short and not above hanging up on you. Also, if you are at a house that is complicated to find, they will cancel the trip without contacting you. (Even if you use the app and have the "pin" right on your location.) read more

I called to see how long for a taxi from IGA in Lake Country. Was told 25-35 minutes so I said ok. This was 5:24. At 5:40 I received a text that #31 would be here in 9 minutes. At 6:25 I called to see where my taxi was and was told I was a no show, then meter shut off. I didn't get a call or anything and no taxi pulled into the parking lot as I was waiting out front with my groceries getting hot. She said she was sending me another right away but 15 minutes wait since he was at the airport. Will never use this service again And certainly don't recommend it as you are on hold waiting for 3-5 minutes just to talk to the dispatch. 6:50 a driver finally shows up. When dispatch called me not even an offer for the inconvenience of maybe a discount as this was a mistake. That's poor customer service read more

Here I am waiting for a taxi that I ordered. They sent me a text that they were on their way and I could track them. Well I waited. And waited. Then the tracker said they he had arrived and the booking was completed - wait. What!!?? No taxi EVER arrived. He just ended the booking and took off elsewhere. Who does that? Called dispatch and they sent another car. I'm trying to get to the airport and o e driver just decided to drop the booking. Terrible service! Do not use these jokers!" read more

If I could pick less then 1 star I would. Not only was the dispatcher a complete douche and told me right stand outside and flag a cab at 300am in the morning when I called back to complain they hung up on me. Checkmate got us home safe. I can't wait for Uber to come to town and put Kelowna cab out of business they deserve it. Such horrible service read more

Very rude dispatch. Phoned for a cab and their voice greeting said to download the app. So while I waited for dispatch I downloaded the app and applied for a cab electronically. They then answered and I stupidly booked it verbally. Sorry I had the impression that you guys could see names and numbers and figure it out. Which you did and proceeded to call me and berate me for being so stupid. Holy smokes you guys. I've been in a professional career for over 23 years and would never treat my clients the way you did Mr ?? I apologized and you continued to chastise me like an abusive parent. I will call check mate from now on. I guess being a cab dispatcher does not involve and sort of tact, sensitivity, concern or training for customer service. read more
