When our flight from Vancouver landed…read morehere, we walked half a mile in these tunnel like things that kinda looked like gangways that went back and forth and then suddenly we pop out into the baggage claim. Kinda weird arrival. I like that the baggage claim area is small. They have a couple restaurants (including a Tim Horton) and a rental car desk and then check in is just around the corner. Walking to the rental car pick up wasn't too bad, and the rental car people were surprisingly nice. Welcome to Canada I guess. When it's dark, it's a little hard to see the rental car sign that tells you where to drive to drop off rental cars. The process of parking in the right stall and dropping off the key was easy enough. Air Canada check in should have been easy, but for some reason, our United booking didn't match up to the AC booking, but that's a different story. On our flight out of Kelowna, I was surprised to see that there are like 8 "gates" with 2 ish seating areas. I can see how it can get congested easily if there are multiple flights. We happened to be on the first flight out for the day so security and the waiting area weren't too crowded yet. We got to the airport at 4am for our 6am flight. None of the stores or eateries open until 4:30, so there was a long line for food and coffee at 4:40.

To make a long story short, I was…read morestranded in Peachland late at night while waiting for my boyfriend to come all the way from Vancouver to pick me up. I called this taxi company and Mark picked me up within a couple minutes. I explained to him I needed to get to a gas station to charge my phone as my boyfriend was going to be a couple hours. Mark advised the nearest gas station was closing in only a few minutes. I was having a rough night and briefly explained what left me stranded. I was also pretty scared being a lone female in the dark with only my luggage in tote. At that point he turned off the meter and told me he would take me to the local bar on Beach Ave where he stays posted for the night. He said he was going to make sure I stayed safe until my boyfriend arrived. After a couple hours, a creepy guy inside the bar made me very uncomfortable so I decided to take my luggage and sit in the cab with Mark. The man tried to approach me in the cab but Mark told him to leave me alone and that I wasn't interested in speaking with him. He then allowed me to wait in the cab with him until my boyfriend arrived. When my boyfriend showed up, Mark helped me with my luggage and kept his promise of keeping me safe all night.... And he did not charge me a single penny. I have never received such amazing service from any cab driver in my entire life. This isn't just a man with a taxi, he's an inspiration to humanity and took me under his wing while I was in a very vulnerable state and super far from home. I will forever be grateful for his kindness and highly recommend his services to anyone! Thank you Mark for turning a horrible situation into a happy ending story for me. You are the kind of people the world needs more of!

The resort was nice, pet friendly which was a must for us traveling with our little pup. Beautiful location - waterfront. Room was clean, bed comfy, bathroom was small and sink was outside the bathroom. Check in and check out was easy. Several days later I saw on my credit card that I was charged the whole amount of our stay, which I had already paid through Expedia. I should have only been charged the pet fee & room service. Contacting the hotel was a bit of a hassle. Eventually got my refund. I can imagine this place being really nice and busy in the summer.
