Completed work in 6 weeks, which included tearing out all previous materials in house, fixing 50%+ of subflooring, adding new carpet/vinyl, and completing mold to match wood trim around house. Excellent customer service - very straightforward on pricing and expectations. Long Review: There are not enough good things that I can say about Dan and Dan's Carpet and Laminates. My husband and I recently purchased a house that was slightly older and needed some considerable renovations from a cosmetic perspective (built in 1984 - original flooring). I originally hired Dan due to the high rating in BBB and it held to my expectations. Dan and his son Todd, came out to the house to provide a very thorough inspection, provided a clear starting point with identified risks for increase in time/money in project, and accommodated to our available $ range that we could afford. He also connected with us to a great flooring wholesaler that he works with and had excellent customer service to pick the right flooring options for your house. When the job started, it was initially expected to be completed within 4 weeks; however, as Dan and Todd starting removing the older flooring, we came across some unfortunate, unforeseen discoveries in our subflooring that resulted in an increase in $ and time delay for project completion. Dan was very straightforward and clear about what he could and could not do, and was able to complete and mitigate the issues fairly quickly, resulting in a 2 week delay. In total, the team of 2 was successfully able to renovate our house's flooring ENTIRELY within 6 weeks and it's amazing how different the flooring is. There are little to no squeaks, and the house inside looks completely modernized and safe for our young kids to play on. I would recommend Dan and Todd to anyone in the greater Columbus area, and plan to hire them again if we ever need any flooring assistance. This company is a serious gem, and above all, a family business. They are affordable, kind, accommodating, and truly make you feel like you're part of their family. Thank you so much for making our renovation period easy and seamless!

We were given the contact information for John Lowry. We reached out to John via text message, and he got back to us quickly and set up an appointment to meet with us at our condo. John arrived with a large variety of samples, and he made informed recommendations about practical floor options to best update all of the rooms in our condo. During this same visit, John measured all of the rooms and helped us decide on both carpeting and hard flooring in under two hours. Written estimates were provided to us via email before the end of that same day. We were able to schedule installation within a couple of weeks. We probably could have had the installation scheduled even sooner, but we had painting that we had scheduled to complete first. We were no longer living in our condo when the installation occurred. Everyone involved with the installation easily worked with our realtor, who was on-site to grant access to the condo, and with me via telephone. We were very pleased with the final results. I'm sure that the reasonable expense of updating the floors will pay off once our condo goes on the market.

The installers that showed up moved some furniture, but my wife and I moved the majority of it. My goal was to put screws down into the sub floor boards for the squeaky areas, but the guys that came out moved so quickly that I did not get time to really put a few screws into the boards. The guys moved so fast that they said there goal was to get all of the carpet installed in one day. Needless to say we moved most of the furniture ourselves to keep up with them installing. I did not get to fix the squeaks due to their hurry to finish. It only took about a year to start to see buckling in parts of the house because they did not properly stretch the carpet. Slowly but surely ALL rooms in the house started buckling with areas as high as 1 - 1.5" in about 4 areas of the house. It got to the point we could not tolerate it any longer so we had their tech visit this summer to stretch the carpet. So here we are just 3 months after the visit. I have the same areas starting to buckle again, and a couple of new areas buckling. I think I made a mistake using this location for installing our carpet. I cannot believe this is the product and service we received after spending several thousand dollars. So the carpet looks bad still and let's just say the floors squeak even louder since I was not given enough time to fix them when they installed. I would Not recommend this place.
