So 2 years ago our snowblower stopped working. The auger would turn but the snowblower would not…read moremove forward. We were going to get it fixed last year, but somehow didn't. The forecast for this winter is for a lot of snow. As much as I love getting an arm workout for myself, and squeezing my husband's big muscular arms, shovelling a double width double length driveway by hand when there's a huge snowfall is really time consuming, even with both of us doing it at the same time, so I figured it was time to get the snowblower fixed. One of my husband's friends recommend Aser so we gave them a call and we were happy with the service we got. The office said they would call us in a week or so to let us know when they could come. They called and gave us a date and said they would call back to confirm the time. About a week later (3 days before the appointment) they called with a 3 hour window period for the appointment. I felt this was reasonable. They are a small business out in Lanark and we're in Ottawa, so I understand that they want to organize their work to minimize travel and maximize the number of customers in close proximity. Alan came in his truck within the specified time period and he fixed the snowblower and gave it a tune up right there in our garage/driveway. He was nice and professional and the cost was reasonable. I would use Aser again and I would recommend them for snowblower repairs and tune ups.

I live in Ottawa and camp at Silver lakes a regular park it will be ideal to be able to be picked up from Silver Lake but it is not an option yet on the bus line. They also sell sheepskin rugs and blankets, good quality leather belts, cowboy hats, and so much more! There's a tackle shop in the back that's even bigger, which caters to horse lovers, offering saddles, bells on a leather strap, and other hardware. It's an interesting array. What has changed is the wool shop; the person running it before dwindled it down in preparation for retiring. However, the public's interest in knitting has not dwindled! Thankfully, someone took over the management of the yarn shop within this store and expanded it greatly.! They now offer a good selection of Briggs & Little wool, a LOT of different sock yarns, roving in different colours, and needles. There might have been some acrylic, and there definitely was some cotton. I've been looking for enough denim blue wool to make a sweater for myself, and have not been able to find enough yarn elsewhere to achieve this. I did find it here (barely, to be honest!) I've got no excuse, now! I must knit!! Lucky for me there's bad weather on the way; plenty of time to get to it. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The yarn was a good price. And I found a belt that fit! It was a good day. It was worth the drive to Carleton Place!!

However, they have a nice variety of ready-made items, and some cute and colourful home decor items. To be fair, they have a farm, and they're busy with that. But this shop is full of items, especially unique pieces of clothing. Mug I go back, it'll be with a better perspective of what they offer. Maybe the clerk was tired? Not very warm and welcoming. There were quite a few patrons in hill I was there. I did manage to find a colourful Hank of sock yarn, so at least I didn't come out empty handed. In the end, I'm not sore it was one of their own products!

I discovered them online and marveled at their selection of rather rare toys at really excellent prices (not to mention I love their selection of gently used toys, too- I hate seeing perfectly good toys thrown out when other children can be enjoying them). Since I live on the other end of the country, I had some questions before purchasing. The staff were SO kind and knowledgeable, got back to me very quickly (over and over again- sorry, guys!) and went out of their way to help. She had a big selection…read moreof succulents in her DIY Succulent Bar to choose from and helped me build a beautiful arrangement in my terrarium. If you don't bring your own she ever has a small selection of jars, pots, tons and bowls to build your own arrangement, if you don't bring one. Or you can just buy your succulents to arrange at home. She's helpful, creative and really helped me to understand how to maintain my lovely new arrangement afterwards. Looking forward to another adventure - perhaps a girls afternoon!
