Both deserve a high 5. Super helpful. I've made a couple of purchases in 2 weeks, will be back again next week for another pair of Uggs I have on hold. I've been so busy I had forgotten I had filled it out. Make sure you give them an email address as I already have accumulated points for $ off my next purchase. I had a great visit today post Black Friday, no crowds and got just what I wanted. Thanks, ladies! See you soon and I appreciate you keeping me in winter style!!!

Also, I'm sorry that I don't know his name but thank you to Katie's male colleague whose comments on the photo background were spot on. Naturally, almost every online search pointed me towards listings on Amazon. NO. THANK. YOU. This pandemic had made me realize that - as much as I love the convenience of online shopping - there's something to be said about the experience of a brick and mortar store, and dealing with a store employee that offers great customer service. And, that's exactly what I got from this store. And, the price was exactly the same as Amazon. Shop local. Shop small business. One less dollar to Bezos and company.

During the past years, I have shopped at Sports Check (Barrhaven) about six or seven times. The…read morefirst time I went there, sales staff kept approaching me offering their help. I politely told the salespeople that I was just looking for now. A short time later I heard a manager (possibly the owner) yelling at her staff saying that they had to ask everybody in the store if any help was needed. I must have been approached by three or four salespeople within only a few minutes. It was way overboard and annoying. Getting frustrated, I ended up leaving the store without buying anything. Another time I went to Sports Check wanting to buy a pair of good quality running shoes. Despite trying on numerous different running shoes none of them fit my feet properly and they weren't even comfortable. When shopping at other stores, I always find good fitting shoes without too much difficulty. During my last visit at Sports Check, in the late Fall, I asked a manager about cycling pants. She said, "I show you what I have." The manager brought me over to the area where they display hiking pants. Over the years, I have found that Sports Chek usually doesn't sell what I'm looking for and/or often they don't have my size. Even when they do have my size, the clothes/shoes don't fit properly. I am an average-sized person proportionate to my body shape, height and weight. Also, I have found that staff doesn't know much about the products they are selling.

The 2 of them narrowed down the choices the perfect shoe for me. Sometimes they have the best deals, and sometimes it's just.... meh. The clerk was helpful and cheerful, but really couldn't help us much. Best Buy has a few readers on display, but not what we were looking for. I can say that their prices on Apple products were pretty much the same as what we saw at the Apple store this week - you can get an Apple tablet the size of a reader for about $330, so I wouldn't hesitate to consider an option here and it might just beat having to go to Bayshore (where I hate the parking!) What I found odd about our visit was the lack of clientelle! It was dead quiet in there, and we had the place almost to ourselves! So the staff was attentive. No problem there! We are looking at alternatives for potentially replacing a Kobo Arc. Too bad, too, because that Arc got a LOT of use! It's the best reader we have ever seen (we really lucked in with it), but I think in the long run readers are getting hard competition from tablets, which you can read on but you can also do other stuff. And therein lies the problem: this Kobo was a pioneer among readers in that you could download other apps, like Kindle, email and Google - even chat through Google hangouts while in Wifi! Tres cool. The newer Kobos stick to being readers and have less options. So, we have been searching around to compare, and Kobo does not even make the Arc any more! That is SOoooo too bad! But our experience with this one is disappointing in a way, because it's only just over 2 years old and it just crapped out - it died. Unfortunately, Kobo help (live people) were not a huge support, suggesting a couple of things to try (to no avail), or a discount on replacement! So we are looking for a work around. We did try dropping it off at a repair shop. The technician tried plugging it in and it seems to be working now. Maybe our charging plug has bit the biscuit? In any event, I hope it will revive. It would be nice to get a couple more years of use out of it before purchasing a tablet. Yes - a tablet! That would be the alternative, because once you have all these gadgets, you are hooked!
