I was looking for a last minute bouquet for my mom and this was closest to Kanata, right at the corner of Hazeldean and Castlefrank. The florist asked us for our budget and I requested my usual $30. However, I didn't get what I usually got for that price. The bouquet was loaded and the color combo was phenomenal! Her arrangement was precise, pristine and flowers were great quality. The florist explained everything she was doing and asked if we liked it or wanted anything changed. Service is phenomenal and amazing value!

Every plant I've gotten at Scrim's has been beautiful and done really well. I wouldn't really say I have a green thumb, nor am I death to all houseplants--and the staff at Scrim's has always been really knowledgeable and helped me choose plants that are not toxic for my plant-chewing cat and that are pretty easy for me to care for (and therefore won't die on me). The plants have always been healthy and survived the move from the flower shop to my apartment--I have one plant that has doubled in height and is just doing beautifully. I've picked up housewarming gifts here as well, the staff are always really prompt and happy to help. Gold stars all around. Also, they do a great job wrapping up the plants for you. I picked one up in winter one time and she wrapped it a few layers to protect it from the wind and put a cute little ribbon and sticker on it--simple and pretty.

Stoneblossom Floral Gallery is not just a florist, but truly a art gallery! I needed flowers for my…read moregrandmother's funeral, and was given very specific instructions. The flowers had to fit in a small glass box, around the urn. I was served by Lynette, a true artist! She immediately called the funeral home to obtain the dimensions of the box and started sketching out desings with dimensions/ created a maquette of the box with a vase to replicate the urn. Lynette was able to provide us with ample visuals of what the arrangement would look like, and we were right to have full faith in her abilities because the final product was SPECTACULAR. My grandmother wanted a cascade of pink and white roses. Stoneblossom not only created two horseshoe arrangements to caress the urn, but a beautiful cascade of pink and white roses to top the box which is exactly what my grandmother would have wanted. We received multiple compliments from friends and family on how gorgeous the floral arrangements were. Including outdoor seating this place would be full if they got a dozen customers at once. Inside are some wonderful plant (and flower) options - a very different take on a florist shop. Gorgeous plants in gorgeous containers with wonderful earthy elements (like bark, grape vine) are stunning to look at. (I wish I had a great space in my little abode to take one home with me. Alas, I don't.) Air plants artfully displayed in glass drops, little succulents and interesting little artsy bits and pieces make this store a joy to sit in. It's right next door to Alice's and across the gates to the farmer's market. It seemingly appears to resemble a residential home if it weren't for the various signage outside boasting all it offers. Upon entering, there are various rooms on the main level for the gift shop and florist. You will find a vintage store above it on the second floor. The florist is tucked into the far right. We went in on Mother's Day weekend hoping to pick up 2 bouquets and we were not disappointed! Lindsey popped right out and asked us what we were looking for and told us to come back in 15-20 minutes. We wandered around the shop and admired (and possibly walked out with) some scented candles, home fixtures, hand-made soaps, jewelry, mugs, throws, greeting cards, and art. All in all, the bouquets consisted of excellent quality flowers and were wrapped carefully and beautifully. Relative to other florists, it was quite affordable as it came up to $55 for both.
