CVS and Aetna are illegally conjoined- whereas they were not allowed to "merge," our Aetna OTC…read morebenefit has to be CVS products which are inferior to in-house brands of other drugstores even. For example, the "CVS Cortisone Ointment" is ineffective and compares neither to Cortaid or Cortizone 10. The Loratidine is absolutely chemical trash and does not even come close to Claritin in effectiveness, and it has a horrid antihistamine effect you feel un the nose, which also dehydrates the body in 24 hours. It has given me cystitis after two doses, a problem I never had. Worse, I took 200mg of CVS ibuprofen and was stricken with gastrointestinal bleeding, then Giant Hives which have lasted a year now. This sensitized me to ALL NSAIDS. If I get injured, I am stuck because opioid pain killers make me suicidal in two doses. Even the band-aids are trash- they fall off in two minutes. The pharmacy does not understand how to count 30-day intervals and penalizes you by denying the proper count in a prescription if it is picked up a day late. The CVS in Liberty SC has literally made me sick and via the pharmacy undone two years of therapy. The drugstore claims they have the right to override my doctor and even Aetna in dispensing my prescriptions. They will take it upon themselves to practice medicine without a license. We are forced as seniors to obtain our medical supplies at CVS, Liberty, SC. Forcing garbage drugs down elder's throats and changing doctor's orders is going a little bit too far, folks. The tyranny of Aetna is a forgotten part of history. Look up the Armstrong Investigation of 1905 and Aetna. The American people have always been its victims, and their buddies in government make sure OUR money goes to them, for them, not to give the best standard of healthcare. In a roundabout fashion, through CVS, OUR funds and OUR health are laundered for the benefit of insurance.

We had recently moved to Piedmont so I went in to order her second dose on 1.2.2021. She was due to get it on 1.7.2021. We were told by the pharmacist that they would have the injection WELL before the 7th. On the 7th my daughter went to get the injection and was told that she would have to come back because the pharmacist was not available. She went back a second time that day and this time was told that they did not have it. I called that day, the 7th, and was put on hold for well over 10 minutes with no answer. Apparently the tech in the pharmacy told her that they would call when it came in. Fast forward to today 1.13.2021, I call the pharmacy to check and see if the immunization was in yet, was told "no". Let my daughter know, and she informed me that Walgreens had called her on 1.11.2021 to let her know that the immunization was in and she could come in and get it. I then called to confirm this information, and was told "oh our mistake, we do have it". My daughter drove an hour from her college to get the injection, and was told "we don't have it, we have the wrong one". Never again will I shop at or get prescriptions from this pharmacy, I have no faith that they would even get the prescription correct.

First- I only write reviews, when I really being mad about a business, as well as when someone is…read moretotally outstanding. And no- doing your job is not this category. I was yesterday- around 5.30 at Walgreens in Powdersville to pick up medicine for my wife. I arrived and there were 3 people in front of me- there were 2 ladies at the only open counter, a lady and a sir in line ahead of me. The guy at the counter seemed like someone who absolutely doesn't know, what he was doing. The 2 ladies had a long list of medications- and despite the fact that the line became much longer quick, he decided to fill the long list of order from the 2 ladies on the spot, instead of simply telling them to leave the prescription and pick it up tomorrow. There were 4 more employees behind the counter, which did not pay one bit of attention to the people waiting, while this guy struggled with everything he did- had to ask guessed 25 times the Pharmacist behind the window, sitting on the computer like nobody else is in the store- as well as 2 others hanging non stop on the phone- looking out of the window, watching the line getting longer and longer. After agonizing 15 minutes (doesn't sound long, but if you wait in line and nothing actually happens, it feels like eternity) finally one of the girls went on the neighboring counter and serviced the guy, second in line. the young guy still struggling with the 2 ladies- where I say- no- it was not their fault. Then finally, after 25 minutes!!!!! a blond lady came to the counter and serviced the woman in front of me, then me. Well, I couldn't help it and I was not friendly anymore- especially, after my wife gave them her card and they had all the data- now this woman tells me, the card is not valid- while I called my wife- which also extended my time and didn't make me less mad, she said- never mind- just put her phone number in the pad- WTF??? WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM??? I can say- I usually let the doctor call in the medicine to Publix Pharmacy- I never had such issues and even when it was busy, I never had to wait there longer than 10 minutes. The whole staff didn't feel like they need to be concerned with servicing the customers, one dummy (sorry- but that's how it looked) not knowing what to do set on the counter screwing everything up and the other don't care. Hell no. My advise to Walgreen's Pharmacy in Powdersville: Give Publix a call and ask them how they do it- you might learn something. No- this was not the first time- the whole pharmacy is managed very unprofessionally. Stretching people's time, who just want to pick up their medication on their way home at 6pm is not the way to make customers happy. I told my wife- no more Walgreen's Pharmacy- Publix it was, and will be- even though it's from us on the other side of town. I gladly drive the distance for not only good- but great service. Some might think I'm overreacting- but just think about it, what they do with YOUR time. And still getting paid. Rant over.

The location is in Powdersville and of course, right across the street from a CVS. But, the CVS across the street has absolutely nothing compared to Walgreens! The beauty section is awesome at Walgreens and every single time I have been in there the same cashier is working. In Walgreens they always ask for me to check out at the beauty register if I am shopping on that side. (Not sure why, but I always do.) The same cashier always is so helpful and friendly. She tells you about deals they may have coming up, or how to save money by combining a few offers together. She also always clips coupons and gives them to customers if they have any of the things on sale that week. I am not just talking about Walgreens coupons, I am talking about everything they sell in Walgreens. She takes time out of her day to go through magazines, newspapers, etc...Anything to help you save a little extra. Which is always so appreciated. She is so knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. This Walgreens really went above and beyond and made a customer for life! It is much appreciated and doesn't go unnoticed!!
