How can I say enough about Don Kelly and Kelly's All-Pro Landscaping! I moved out of the area some 7 years ago. Prior to moving, I had used Kelly's almost exclusively for all my landscaping needs! The previous weekend, I visited my daughter's gravesite. This past winter had wreaked havoc on it and the bushes had grown out over the years - past 8 feet tall now. Coincidently, the same bushes that Don had planted for me more than 20 years prior. I contacted Don on a Thursday; he immediately surveyed the job and offered me 2 alternatives: trimming the existing or replacing with new. I opted for replacement. He ordered the new shrubs, received them, and masterfully completed the plantings all by Tuesday! And for less than he quoted me! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS CONTRACTOR. One year later, and I have to replace the sprinkler system. I got 2 irrigation contractor estimates and they're both $3000, which was the original price that Don Kelly charged me. There are puddles everywhere, the system needs to be to split into multiple zones and sprinkler heads need to be moved, which means a complete redesign of the system. I have worked with Don on 4 construction-landscaping projects over the last six years. Don's greatest strength is his creativity in addressing hurdles to getting a project done. Where other builders would glaze over or shrug if I asked if we could find a way to get a job done, Don had not one but usually three options/ideas. Every project we did had a challenged and in each case, Don found a way to get it done. Don's next best trait is delivering the product that he promised and standing behind it. The concept we agreed to was executed. We have been very pleased with his work product. And to extent there has ever been an issue post-job, Don takes my call and sends people to address. Never asked for payment or raised a warranty issue - just comes by and fixes - which is not to say this has happened often or due to poor workmanship. I can also say the price we agreed upon was the price I paid. I never got an up-charge bill from Don unless we asked for increased services. Don was also professional in coming to me with issues during construction and giving us options to consider vs. just making assumptions and leaving us with something we did not want. Too many contractors plough ahead and then tell you after-the-fact that "this" was the only way. Worse yet, too often the contractors are not even present to identify problems - leaving their workers to make decisions. That is not how Don operates. There was collaboration with us at every step, and that was priceless. We have a beautiful backyard - Don, in collaboration with my wife, created the concept and delivered on our plans. He also worked effectively with our pool contractor and electricians - so I was appreciative of his ability to coordinate with other trades. I will continue to use Kelly's All Pro and Don in the future. I highly recommend their services for construction-landscaping projects. In closing, I will say that all contractors at the shore are busy in the spring. With Don, I have found it very effective to start work in the Fall and Winter and come to agreements on deadlines and milestones as part of your contract. Don was quick returning my call and supplying me with an estimate. His proposal was creative with options depending upon our budget. His workers were polite and cleaned up everyday until finishing a 3 day job. Don stopped by during the process to check on the work and made sure everything was done perfectly. Do not use this company. I hired Don Kelly to install a paver patio and some landscaping. A job which should have taken 3 weeks took 13 weeks to complete. I cut my loses and did not use him for landscaping. Excuse after excuse for why project took so long. Contracts out projects.....all done piece meal. Poor communication. read more

I wish I could write a favorable review but given the lack of follow up after they complete their work I just can't. I had a $9,000 job done this past spring and the sprinkler system install was 'amateur hour'. Half my beds get watered the other half don't. I have sent numerous texts to the owner as he doesn't answer his phone and has no voice mail setup so all to no avail. So I finally gave up and hired another contractor to fix the sprinkler system. I would be careful using them and I would not recommend them as once they get paid they are GONE and they are real aggressive with payment terms. read more
