Dave Adams Roofing is under new ownership. I setup and appointment to have a leaky garden window looked at between 9am - noon (they gave me the appointment time). I called them at 2pm to see if they were going to come over. The secretary said she would have them call me. Someone called back and asked me for a detailed explanation of the problem. Mike handled every detail and kept updating us with pictures of the progress of the roof. We got an estimate from John on Friday, went to the office on Monday to check on new shingle colors, signed the contract, got a start date for the following Monday. Received a call later that afternoon that the job could be done the next day! A crew of 10 arrived around 8 & were finished by 3:30. Crew was very efficient, professional, hard working & respectful of our property. Cleanup was fabulous. We would highly recommend Dave Adams. Finally had them out to look at my roof but was totally blown off after the owner decided to have his office call me and tell me they are too busy? Why come out and waste my time? The workmanship was excellent! The crew did a great job. However, the entire process with dealing from the office staff was unorganized and unprofessional from the time I called asking for a quote. Was told someone would come out with-in 7 days. The person came out when I wasn't home and called me afterwards. Said he didn't see where house #2 needed shingles. I told him where. I received a quote for shingles but not sure if it was house #1 or #2 and no quote for the fascia. Went around and around with office staff. Then they called one morning to see if would be home and Dave came out and we got the proper estimate. Work complete. Then 2 days later a man comes to the door at 10am to fix the fascia. Said he was from Dave Adams and I told him it was fixed. Then they called me for payment on house#1 but house #1 was paid in full. Then I told them about the strange man and they had no idea. Come to find out later the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. The workmanship is good but dealing with the office staff will make your blood boil. read more

I'm sure they would have been great had they not refuse to do the work after letting me believe they would have for weeks. I pushed back other appointments and made myself available so they could come down for a water test only to have them call me tonight before and tell me that they were too busy to do the work. Forever. Poor business tactics and I'll make sure my neighbors are aware as well as posting it on Facebook. Beware of roofing companies that can't even fix a simple leak! read more

Dave Adams roofing does good work. No doubt about that. He did my upper roof about 15 years for two or three thousand and it has held up well. He also installed Simonson replacement windows 4 or 5 years ago for 5,000.00 dollars. Last year I need a lower roof with a tear off of old shingles, new felt and new shingles. His estimate came in at 3000.00 thousand dollars, one thousand dollars more than any other reputable roofer. His secretary called and asked if I made a decision on awarding the contract. I explained to her Dave Adams was one thousand dollars more than anyone else for the same work , and if he would care to submit a more reasonable bid, I would consider his new proposal. She called back and stated since I was an exising customer , Dave would take off $ 100.00 dollars, still 900.00 more than anyone else. I declined and awarded the contract to another company that was more competitive. Last month, I needed 4 feet of flashing around my window. Water had gotten under the aluminum flashing and corroded. My carpenter called Home Depot and they only sold 50 foot rolls of this material, for one dollar per foot, or $ 50.00 dollars for the whole roll, much more material than needed. Plus, we need someone with a machine called a "Brake" to bend the material into the shape needed. My carpenter call Dave Adams, stated I was a past customer, and we drove over, showed the secretary measurements and diagram of what was needed, and three days later, it was ready. I was charged $ 40.00 dollars for four feet of flashing, which probably cost his company 70 cents per foot, and to bend this material on his "brake" machine, took about five minutes. Seems like the price I paid was very, very steep. Returning home, the material was too short, and back to Dave Adams roofing for another piece of flashing, which took two days to get. I was told if I paid by credit card, there would be a 3% up - charge, and also sales tax. Funny, there was no up- charge ( credit card fee ) on the roofing and windows that his company did. There is no sales tax on wholesale items after his secretary checked . I paid cash for the flashing. Before leaving, I told his secretary I was an existing customer with a very old house. I would keep him in mind for future work. OR MAYBE NOT. read more
