The woman helping in the shoe department was extremely helpful and friendly, and guided me to the appropriate pair of sandals. It's been a year so she made a positive lasting impression. This year I picked up a hat with good coverage for my son's. Along with some souvenirs, my son wanted to bring home for his friends (Truckee stickers). Besides my positive experience, the store seems to have just about everything from grills, too fishing gear amongst other things that you would carry an Ace Hardware store. They also had a nice varying selection of said categories. At the checkout counter there was a younger girl who welcomed me and ready to answer questions, I bought my hat, and I was on my way. Jeff Pecka, the owner, communicated with us by text and email to keep us informed of their progress in a timely manner. The process was seamless and painless and they got the job done within a week of the HOA approval. I especially like the front door that his dad painted (it's a family affair) because I used harsh cleaning chemicals on it in error during COVID. It looks better than when we moved in as the original owners. Thank you, Jeff! Even my dog likes them. They are dog people. He also took that ugly TV Dish thing to the dump for me.

I went into the Truckee location, because the Roto Rooter plumber sent me with a list of supplies…read moreto re-install my kitchen sink with a new faucet. I purchased the faucet that would be delivered the next day. the next day they did deliver. However, when the plumber saw the faucet was the wrong finish, and had been previously installed somewhere, and was missing parts. And, on the plumbers list was a basket drain...the technician at Western told me I didn't need a new one. The plumber is mad at me, and the basket drain I had is now leaking, and I do not drive or have a car to go get one. I have been literally screwed to the wall by this plumber and Western. Still no usable sink. And, looking at a cost of over $2,000 to install a $200 moen faucet. just a small sampling of what's really happening. Oh, and if you have the Toto dual flush toilets, there are no parts available...you have to replace the toilet...according to Roto Rooter and my own research.

You need to go to a pool and spa supply place. I tried to explain that these were just pvc fittings parts and pieces put together but "Nate" once again became the know it all and said those are all product specific and we wont carry any of those. The guy next to him said i may be able to get them down the street. So i left never to return even if they were giving away free parts. I went to the place the guy sent me and the folks there were so kind and told me that when Mike gets in he'll be able to take care of it or i could go right down the street where they get their parts and western could take care of me. I told her not in a million years. That "Nate" guy is a real P.O.S. And has a bad attitude. I thanked her and said i want to try some other places and if i cant find what i need I'll come back. Went to Leslie's pool supply. They once again didn't have all the parts and suggested i go to western, and again i told them what happened and how "Nate" was such a P.O.S. to me so, all 3 of the very nice and kind employees there tried to help me find the pvc fittings i needed to fix my issue and showed me where i could get them on line since they couldn't help me with the pieces. I never sop online, i prefer to go to local places but in this instance, happy to give my business to anyone other than this place.

Lots of fun things: furniture, art, cute bear stuffed animals, and some fun knick knack type things. What impressed us most though was the service. We walked in with a stroller and the gal working there was super accommodating, told us she'd move anything around if it wasn't stroller-path friendly. She offered us a soda or coffee, and showed us where the restroom was if we needed it. Honestly it's the warmest reception we've gotten entering a store in a long time, a very nice surprise.
