Unfortunately, the entire session was not what I expected. For most of the 90 minutes, she used her elbow to press very hard on my shoulders. It did not feel like a Swedish massage at all -- it felt overly aggressive and uncomfortable. Today I woke up with severe shoulder pain. My shoulders are extremely sore, and I honestly feel worse than before the massage. I came in to relax and receive a proper Swedish massage, but instead, the session consisted mostly of intense elbow pressure and stretching. It was very disappointing and not what I paid for. I will not be returning.

The front desk staff then pulled out a tip sign that was hidden behind another sign--something that should have been clearly visible from the start if it's truly their policy. On top of that, I was charged more on my card than what I was told. Fifteen percent does not equal twenty percent, and that kind of discrepancy is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the towels used during the service had a noticeable mildew smell, especially the one placed on my face, which completely took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. Overall, between the lack of transparency, pressure around tipping, being overcharged, and poor hygiene standards, this was not a professional or comfortable environment. I would not recommend this place.

The office building is multi-level with a stairs that gets you up to the 2nd floor. The break room seems to be communal with other "suites." The massage took place inside a suite. There appears to be two "beds" sectioned off by sheer curtains. After spending time in Thailand, I've been on the lookout for a strong traditional Thai massage therapist. Many of the "Thai massages" in the area mix the traditional Thai massage with the western massage styles by adding oil etc.... Informed the therapist that I was looking for a Thai traditional massage without oil and strong, just like in Thailand. The therapist was strong, did numerous stretches, just like in Thailand. $95/hr + gratuity with $5 off for paying cash. There appears to be a promo program where there is a discounted rate for buying sets of massages. The massage parlor seems to be by appointment only.

I had never experienced a Thai massage before this, but this was by far the most therapeutic massage session I have ever had. She was able to reduce pain and tension that I have felt in my body for years, and I absolutely cannot wait to go back. I am going to try the Thai therapeutic massage to see which I prefer, but I appreciated that the deep tissue was a full body experience. One thing is for sure, I don't see myself ever booking less than the full two hours because I want to give Tanya plenty of time to work her magic.
