He hires a professional photographer who takes amazing photos that made me want to buy my own house! He communicates with me almost daily and keeps me informed of everything - so far I received multiple offers on my house in the first week alone! His office is bright, organized and professional . I met Heather at the front desk and she was very friendly and helpful, I also met one of his agents Alice who also is highly professional - looks like he and his partner Danny run a great business. As I said I plan to write a follow up review after my closing but at this point feel very confident in recommending Pride and Mitchell Feldman

This is a long review, but I'll make it worth your while 1)…read moreIf you are looking to rent in LIC you DONT need a broker for any of the waterfront buildings. This includes: The Maximilian Avalon TFC 49-06 11st Any building that has a floor plan on StreetEasy Just go straight to the door and ask for an appointment, or call and schedule it, will save a months rent. 2) Try to avoid Elliman at all cost. For the rest of the buildings, they usually have multiple brokers, avoid Elliman, they are the worst option. (looked at 20+ places in LIC) Here comes my specific review: To quickly summarize, on June 9 Zak Gumpel showed me an apartment that I ended up renting. On June 10, I filed the application to get the lease. I handed Zak certified checks for 3 months of rent on June 12. When I still had not received any formal confirmation 11 days after I paid him and 7 days before the move-in date, on June 23, I had to take half a day off from work, to actually chase him down and to make sure I did not have to look for a different apartment. Communication with Zak was inefficient. First, he did not convey necessary information. I had already filed an online application, but he needed information beyond that. It was very unclear which specific information was needed. After several iterations, where Zak sent me a pdf file with only the odd pages of the lease, retracting it, then asking for more information, I had to personally contact on-site financial to get the screening process going. Second, after the screening was done, there were further hiccups, which were caused by the management company, according to Zak. Nevertheless, Zak started imposing deadlines for when I would receive the lease. But the self-imposed deadlines passed several times and Zak did not communicate to me why that was or what his plan of action would be. When I tried to reach him myself, he would answer emails only sporadically and not pick up his phone. The situation was so unclear that I considered having been scammed. He finally promised me he would personally walk over to the management company to get the issue resolved on Monday, June 22, but I did not hear from him that day either via phone or email. I finally decided to take off half the day from work on Tuesday to get the issue resolved. Suspecting that he was avoiding me I called him from my own phone, and when he did not answer I used my girlfriend's phone, which he answered immediately. Again, he promised to send the documents "immediately". When after 1.5 hours I still hadn't received any documents, I got the Douglas Elliman office in Long Island City involved. The lady at the front desk patiently listened to my complaints and took over chasing Zak down. After another hour or two I finally received the contract. Zak kept deflecting responsibility to the owner of the building, but my complain refers specifically in the way HE behaved during the process: eluding me, making fake promises that are not followed with at least a status update. As soon as I handed him his broker fee, he seemed to have lost interest in doing what I had paid him to do, and he let me manage the process instead. I filed a formal complain, but the person in charge (Robert Glessman) just gave me generic answers. They were only trying to deflect responsibilities with really silly responses (how can you complain? you got the apartment). I wouldn't wish this experience to my worst enemy

Did not answer my question and I'm left without an application, so I ultimately decided to move on and work with another broker at a different company. Unnecessarily rude and extremely unprofessional. It made me feel embarrassed to even express interest in working with this company. There are so many other great brokers in this area who are not shady or rude, it's just not worth going through them.

Exceptional Real Estate Agent and Trusted Partner: Jennie Went Above and Beyond…read more From our very first conversation, we knew we were in the best possible hands with Jennie Katz of Blue Island Homes. We were selling a home in New York while living in Wisconsin, and what could have been a stressful, overwhelming process became smooth and manageable because of her care, expertise, and constant support. Jennie is everything you could hope for in a real estate agent: incredibly smart, deeply knowledgeable about the Long Island market, and fiercely dedicated to doing right by her clients. Our sale was complicated, involving powers of attorney and a lot of moving parts, but she handled every detail with calm professionalism and absolute competence. She spent countless hours on the phone with us, patiently walking us through options, answering every question, and making sure we always felt informed and comfortable. Her communication is outstanding. She updated us at every step, anticipated issues before they became problems, and explained each decision clearly so we never felt in the dark. We trusted her judgment completely, and that trust was more than earned. She found us a buyer we were genuinely thrilled with and negotiated an excellent deal that exceeded our expectations. What really sets Jennie apart is how much she truly cares. This never felt like "just another transaction" to her. She treated our home, our time, and our situation with real respect and compassion. She paid close attention to every detail and advocated for us as if we were family. On top of that, she has a fantastic network of professionals: lawyers, clean-out and dumpster services, and more, which made handling everything from afar so much easier. We honestly can't say enough good things about Jennie. We love working with her, we trust her completely, and we would recommend her without hesitation to anyone buying or selling on Long Island. If you want a real estate agent who is caring, sharp, incredibly hard-working, and absolutely on your side, call Jennie Katz at Blue Island Homes. You will be grateful you did.

As a professional in the customer service industry myself, I appreciated Jonathan's constant follow up and confirmation. If he was unsure about something he was always on top of looking into it for us to find us the correct answer. We toured about 10 or so homes until we found the perfect fit! We finally closed yesterday and would recommend Jonathan to anyone looking to buy or sell! He is truly a ROCKSTAR and an amazing person to work with!

He and Robert Bryan came by to check out the place and immediately struck us as honest, hardworking guys with lots of personality. Our cat also approved, so we decided to give them the listing. We got an above asking, all cash offer about two weeks in and were ready to close. Robert, being the scrupulous and well informed gentleman that he is, caught that we hadn't owned it long enough to avoid paying capital gains tax, so dissuaded us from the deal, instead encouraging us to wait. In this type of market it is VERY rare to have anyone remotely involved in your deal not pushing you to close as quick as you can - I'm sure it was difficult for Robert and Arny to walk away from a sure thing, but they did have our best interests at heart. We relisted with them with the intention of buying another place. They quickly got another (much higher) all cash offer that unfortunately didn't pan out, but that didn't stop them from tirelessly showing us open houses in the far corners of Brooklyn every single weekend of the past cold winter. Sure enough, another offer came in that they negotiated up close to asking from a lowball initial offer and we got into contract. We closed yesterday. Thank you, Robert Bryan and Arny Cohen for working so hard for us and having a good time while doing it, too. We really appreciate it! John, Mir, Zelda and Timber
